7Friendly caring staff. Pastoral Bruce is a amazing man making available what he does to assit people.
These people go above and beyond and are volunteering their time to provide these services.
Everyone should be nothing but grateful and patient visiting and commenting on experiences here.
We are so fortunate to have these services and people who act within them.
Unsatisfactory. Outside I waited in line. A lady with a Coles trolley went in and obtained a few boxes of mud muffins etc and proceeded onward without a problem. She was heavy set which needed no comment. The attendant, a male of medium build semi-ederly, make disparaging remarks about her weight and labelled her as a food scab. I was disgusted. I told him off and he responded that I should 'kiss his brown badge'. I wish I could complain about his behaviour to the head of this organization as he should be fired, volunteer or not, he has no right to be RUDE.
These people who do not appreciate, the service of faith works should look else where.
I bet they do not find a place that, give without asking for anything in return.
So respect these volunteers, & respect others using the service.
Thank you.
I found everyone was very friendly. I met Nana Mary a true character and one beautiful earth angel. Being on a very low wage free bread and vegetables helps out a lot and pre packed meals are very handy and cheap to buy also plus there are cheap food prices and very meals served at the church. I had lamb. I haven't eaten lamb for many years as I couldn't afford it. They are a true Christian organisation by the kindness they show to others.
A good place to get free bread and vegetables for people on a low income. There is frozen, tinned, packaged food etc for a small fee but the range is limited for people eating a vegan diet. It has improved to what it was though, so hopefully it will improve more when more people requiring vegan food speak up. Food should have ingredients listed on the packaging. There is way too much glad wrap used. I was told it's used to prevent identification stickers falling off. A better method to use would be to upgrade the labelling machine so the labels don't come off, as plastic is a huge problem in the environment.
