Fairview Lodge Animal Shelter reviews
27I took my son and his friend here today just for a visit. We've never been there before and it was great. One of the volunteers took us and showed us around, and told us a lot of the animals' backstories, and it was great to be able to pat them all. The volunteers really care for them, and do such a great job looking after them. I highly recommend you go for a visit, and also recommend donating as they're totally funded by donations.
Came across Fairview Lodge after looking up animal shelters. My girl's and I wanted to visit to acknowledge and say Thank you for their dedication, hard work, care and Love of the many Beautiful animals that now reside there. Some of these animals wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for Fairview Lodge and the Volunteers. So glad we found you, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we will be back?
The volunteers are valuable asset to Fairview lodge because of their passion for the welfare of the animals
Great place for animals saved from a short life. I took a pullett out to Sheena who could put her in a larger flock. Very happy
If you really want to visit a zoo or farm, try coming here and donate money as it is free entry. Farm animals live in perfect existence. The owners and volunteers clearly love their animals and treat them well. They don't see their animals as $ or food. Thank you guys for doing what you do. If only there were more people like you in this world.
Helped out there for 4 days once, lovely place, nice people.just a great place to be.also daza (is that the name of the Turkey) is a good bird.
They need help guys.
Check out the go fund me page on Facebook.
The volunteers here are amazing, but they need YOUR help.
Share, like, etc.
Intital Experience was great - Delivered Hay & they paid promptly - at the end - they sent a message that they paid - so delivered all hay we had left - when I checked bank - they hadn't paid - and since have been fobbed off - sent several messages which have been ignored, rang & was told I would be paid in a couple of days - only to check & had not been paid. Since then they have not communicated despite several attempts to sort out issue.
This is a fantastic place. I live around the corner and didn't realise that you could walk around the grounds and pat the animals. The staff were great! They took the time to have a conversation with me and also were helpful when my son with Autism got a little scared of sheep.
I will definitely be back and support what the shelter is doing 100%
These lovely people do amazing work with very little funding. A great afternoon visit, small donation and a great time had by all.
Volunteers and board members work very hard to provide quality care and comfort to these beautiful rescue animals. Really fresh eggs for sale
It was great to see all the animals being loved and cared for by lots of wonderful volunteers. The public is welcome and you can buy fresh duck and chicken egg, pick up some manure for the garden. But most of all you get animal therapy or find a new family pet (horses, ponies, ducks, chicken and more) ?
Great animal sanctuary, great to drop in with kids to touch & see all the beautiful rescued animals
These people do an amazing job looking after horses and other animals that are in need of a home and shelter and food. They are open to the public and are lovely people who will gladly have a chat to u and will happily show around if you would like to volunteer. You can take carrots and apples to feed the horses too if u like, my three year old son loves this!
Thank you so much Fairview Lodge. We recently took on 2 horses from Kerri & crew & the experience was a joy. I think it's easy to lose sight of how much work goes in to caring for so many animals. I only have 2 & they keep me busy. Your level of commitment to the animals some of which are sick or broken is beyond compare. Keep up the fantastic work.
It is a wonderful thing for people to give so much of themselves to help whilst asking so little in return. Great facility run with real love for the animals in need. Go there, pat the animals and drop a few bob in the bucket it is a great spirit lifter - you will feel great for the experience
An animal shelter that allows visitors to pat and feed the animals (bring your own animal food, carrots, apples etc) but watch your fingers.friendly staff and donations of food, blankets etc are always welcome
The owners and all volentary staff do such a great job. I take vegies up once a week. Cleo the baby goat is absolutely beautiful
Great place to visit, friendly volunteers, you can go everywhere to see and pat the animals. They're doing an amazing job at rescuing these poor, neglected or abused animals and giving them a much better life.
This place is amazing the way they save these beautiful animals. Go visit and maybe make a donation
