Ever since a friend introduced me to Extra Newsagency years ago, it's been my go-to place – for my favourite pens that no-one else stocks any more, (Black Micro-Uniball UB-120), for fantastic cards and for beautiful books on design, fashion, architecture and more. It's a wonderful place to find gifts. Great service from the guys who go over and above with their help, every time.

Great people and product range. The extended trading hours is also extremely convenient. Big thumbs up!

Extra Newsagency @ Hyde Park is the best in Adelaide bar none! Friendly & professional owner Jo & staff have always gone out of their way to help me every time for many years. They provide not only a comprehensive range of stationary (ie: literally the only store that has my diary refills which are even put in the post if I can't get in there myself. Appreciated!) but also have a large, 'tasteful' & well priced range of giftware for every occasion. Lucky spot to buy scratchies or Lotto too thanks Jo.

Extra remains open 7 days a week and has a good supply of Australian-/made face masks. With Adelaide's best range of cards, OS newspapers and arty and sporty magazines it's a much loved local business. Joe and staff give personalised service and really get to know their customers.

What a fantastic and interesting destination to ponder and be transformed by.the wonderful literary offerings and gifts, cards.etc.
I told 2 people to check it out asap. If it was the owner who served me he was an interesting character, informative & friendly.
I found the ambiance was very nice & products were displayed beautifully in a very spacious setting.

Also an amazing novelty shop with constantly changing themes great staff and you can usually get a discount

Owner is always friendly and welcoming. Can also recharge your public transport card here too, which is very handy.

Newsagencies rarely have many magazines these days, but this one actually does! Thankfully for me, they leave (some) back issues on the shelf for awhile too. I don't even know his name, but the owner (?) is so polite and helpful. Great newsagency!
