Estia Health Burton

As the anniversary has arrived of our Mum entering residential care at ESTIA Burton we thought it was time to comment on this facility. Mum entered the complex at a very difficult time for our family and we needed Mum to be safe and comfortable. ESTIA could not have been more helpful. They assisted us every step of the way and ensured quick and safe admission into their care.

Since then Mums health has improved enormously. She loves her room, which we have also been allowed to personalise. Activities are organised regularly, including offsite excursions which she loves attending. The medical staff and administration are always there to support us and are entirely approachable if a problem should arise. The facility also encourages family to participate in activities and will always listen to suggestions that we might have.

As a family we would like to thank ESTIA Burton for keeping Mum safe and healthy.

My mum has been a resident & living at Estia Burton since July 2023. I am very happy with the care she receives and the lifestyle activities available to her. The staff are very attentive, warm & friendly & its a testament to the facility as they have many long term staff still happily employed there.even during very difficult times. Covid etc. I got to know Sue & Tracey (lifestyle) when my mother-in-law was residing there in 2019-22 & I'm so happy they are there for my mum too
Mum is very happy with the quality & variety of the food on offer which is cooked & prepared mostly on site which is great.
The courtyards are a lovely space to go out to when visitors come & mums little dog can visit her too
Personally I like the design of the home & the choice of lifestyle areas on offer for residents.
I also find the medical staff & management are informed & helpful when needed.
Overall I rate Estia Health Burton highly.thankyou for taking care of my Mum

We were worried about how our Mum would go in here but thanks to the friendly staff and lovely surrounds she has settled in better than we could have hoped for - she has improved in all aspects and is living a much better life than before. She is active, social and well cared for. When we leave and go home interstate we can do so knowing that she is in a great facility surrounded by happy caring people.

My Aunt has just spent time at Estia at Burton for the last 4 weeks and I can't fault them. The facility is a very nice modern building and all of the staff are so caring and helpful.
Thank you to all of the staff for making her stay as positive as could be.

We have a beautiful home at Estia Health Burton we have just gone through a refurbishment and I love showing the place off to new Residents especially our beautiful rose garden court yard.our staff are friendly and always helpful we are one big family at Estia Health Burton

This place is absolutely terrible to the elderly living here, there is so much neglect and incompetence.
Takes ages for anyone to respond to the call bell, they responded quicker to the assistant button than the call button.
My Nana has to write her name on her clothing because heaps of clothes have gone missing and then no help from staff when asked about it.
My Nana is all the way at the end of the hall, she has dementia so that inhibits her from being able to know how to ring the bell and all she knows is to call out for help. - Because she is so far away from staff and so nobody can hear her call out.
My Nana was taken to the toilet, she can barely walk or do anything left alone, the staff left her alone and she ended up falling forward off the toilet trying to get up.
For over half an hour the staff left her on the floor not helping because they were too concerned with change over shifts (The people responsible had no right to change shift until the situation was resolved). The ambulance was more helpful getting her up and knowing what to do.

This place is so disrespectful to the elderly

Totally disgusted with how this place treats people there. My dad was there for a short time and the way he was treated was down right pitiful. He was unable to stand up yet the carers would leave his meals on the bench near the door. His pain management was mishandled and will never forgive them for how they treated my dad. Hopefully in future the government hold places like these more accountable for their actions

My mother in law was a resident for the last 12 months before she sadly passed away.
During our visits she always said how lovely and helpful the staff were. The staff would always say they loved her.
The cook would make special meals for her to entice her to eat.
Mum had access to the garden area outside her room and made it her own complete with solar lights, many plants and statues. Hopefully the remaining residents and staff continue to look after enjoy the garden she left behind.
We as a family found Estia Health to be nice comfortable, peaceful place.
