I'm not foody and I can be seen as fussy but I tried everything and I loved all of it.
The experience of watching someone cook my food, their customer service and the chefs talent.
Thank you

Food was incredible. So different and interesting watching the Chef at their best. Customer Service brilliant.
And also got a few tips and tricks for my own cooking, not that Id be able to do what they do but I could give it a go.
Thankyou

Decent teppanyaki place in the heart of North Terrace. Expect to pay for great food that is prepared in front of you. The food was very delicious and worth the price for the most part.

The dissapointing points were that the Japanese beef was not available, dessert was only a scoop of black sesame ice cream and red bean (low quality considering the price) and the toilet facilities were dirty (shared with other occupants in the same building).

Pictured: Signature teppanyaki course (smoked pig jowl, aburi scallops, steamed egg, abalone, Southern Rock lobster, Australian wagyu, fried rice, sesame dessert)

This is hands down the worst teppanyaki place we have ever been too. Where do I even begin? Waited 30 mins before the chef even started cooking and then took another 2+ hours to cook the food and by this time we were so bored and over hungry that we ended up leaving before all food had been cooked. Got some real food on the way home, and the final bill, we’ll that was the icing on the cake. Can happily say we will never be returning

Wonderful Teppanyaki place but could be a little better considering the cost of dinner. Amazing decor in the restaurant. The high ceiling and the Teppanyaki plate exhaust fan practically remove any smoke and smell from the open cooking area. This is one of the Teppanyaki Restaurant that doesn't leave any cooking smell on your clothes after dinner.amazing! Majority of the food serve was really good. The Japanese A5 Wagyu was sublime. We also ordered the Australian MS9 Wagyu but the piece we got doesn't really look and taste like a MS9 Wagyu sadly. There was also absolutely no show and tell from the cook sadly. He just cook the food and left.abit of a let down considering other Teppanyaki Restaurant such as Shiki and Samurai Teppanyaki always make it a show during cooking to entertain the diners. Would I go back? Probably yes when they improve their service.

Should have read other reviews before we go. Overly priced CHINESE teppanyaki, cooked on the hotplate and charged your mortgage for it, they even charged for water. Served by young, inattentive and non-english fluent speaking staffs, that couldn’t understand and care more about your questions, doesn’t fit in with the price and decor. What a waste of space!

Oh my gosh! This place was absolutely unreal, to the warm welcoming, the food and most importantly, the service!
We had Dan serve us and to see the enthusiasm and genuine love of being there performing the art of food was spectacular. Very including and talkative to their customers. Not to mention the food was divine, full of flavour and great portions for the price!
I highly recommend this gorgeous place, we will be back!

Always nice a fresh food. Love the food there. But they don’t provide free drinking water any more the most recent time. We were diced to buy still or sparking water. Did not like that.

Your booking isn’t on time have to wait for 40 mins until we got started.
Went for a birthday and the chef was new so couldn’t do any birthday stuff and they even forgot to write it in the cake. Very disappointed in service.

4 stars for the meal and service. 1 star off because the toilets are hard to find and disgusting. I mean when you pay a total of 600 dollars for an elegant evening for food and drinks you would expect at least a bathroom to match. Its a shared bathroom with all of the occupants of the building on a seperate floor. Like seriously, please get your own private bathrooms.

From menu to service, there's nothing impressive or remarkable. There are honestly plenty of other genuinely better options for this price point.

The food and service was excellent. If I didn't need to use their bathrooms, it would be 5 stars. Given the price - which I think was warranted for the food - I would have expected the facilities and decor to be of a higher standard. However, the building is old and the bathrooms are shared with the other tenants. You go down a questionable elevator and walk past a laundry and chemical storage room. It ruins the fine dining experience. Otherwise, enjoyed the evening.

The food is terrific. The evening was pleasant and we celebrated our anniversary. It seems not enough food at a first glance but the menu is well planed. I felt satisfied. Nice matcha beer, from Japan, good cultural experience.
I was expecting a bit of a show and skills showing but the chef only cooks in front of you. Making it just as any other restaurant with the exception that you see the preparation.

They offered me water while browsing the menu, as it's normal in Australia I was expecting tap water and I ended up with a $9 bottle. This seemed to me as a unwanted purchased forced by the restaurant.

Lobster and teriyaki chicken is awesome, but that’s it. Too many issues occurred here.

First of all, sauce for scallop and A5 Wagyu beef are a failure on those dishes and they all have a common problem - too salty.
Secondly, no one asks the rare level of my A5 wagyu main course, but they charge an extra $60-80 to swap that, not worth it.
Thirdly, my tap water has been empty for ages, waiters and waitress were hanging around but no one fill the water for me until I asked them after I finish everything, that’s not the customer service I’m looking for.
Fourthly, the chef puts that extreme salty sauce on my A5 beef without asking my will of wanting it, I don’t understand why as some people doesn’t like to eat it with sauce. The sauce is SUPER salty and buried the original taste of the beef, what a waste…
Last but not least, they provide the same table spoon that I use for my fried rice for my dessert. It is way TOO large for a single scoop ice cream, the radius of the spoon is larger than the radius of the scoop, you guys can’t afford small size spoon or what?
It’s a good place, good decorated but that’s it. It’s a restaurant, not a museum, so I am not recommended here. I recommend Samurai teppanyaki as they really got good food with good service.
2 stars for the teriyaki chicken and the lobster, without them, it worths for half a star.

Came for the birthday dinner with my partner. Food was really delicious and we served by an amazing friendly Chef Dan…unfortunately…table service was very disappointing.we ordered a bottle of champagne…. We were very disappointed that no waiters/waitress came to serve us whole night…we had to pull our own drinks and asked for table water 2-3 times…. That was definitely not the service for $350 (2ppl) dinner…well…. Two stars for chef.one star for decoration.

Amazing food and cooking that is regrettably let down by the service.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary, and had an amazing time with our cook (Dan). The food and theatrics were incredible, however, the waiting staff was unfortunately subpar.
On arrival we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated and throughout the night had difficulty in being served alcohol.

Without a doubt the food was phenomenal, but relying on just that is what separates a fantastic restaurant from a good one.

Overall though, the environment was great and I'd reccomend people to come - the experience is a must
