Emperor's Crown Chinese Restaurant reviews
54Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. Had a banquet with a few other people, and there was plenty of food
Excellent range of tasty food at reasonable prices. Friendly, helpful staff. Entrance to the restaurant is extremely difficult for people with mobility devices.
Excellent food accompanied with great service. Would like to also mention the food was brought out extremely fast to the point where we were surprised.will eat here again for sure
Good food and service, but could do with some remodelling and cleaner look. Stuck in the 80's
Stumbled upon this little gem when we decided to have dinner before going to the movies. It isn't fancy or over the top but rather laid back and relaxed. The food is the best we have had in such a long, long, time. The banquets are filling without leaving you feeling oily and overfull. The satay chicken is amazing! From the first time we went to the Emperors Crown we have come back to eat 4 more times in the last 2 months.
The staff are wonderful as well! Can't wait to return.
New to the area, but great introduction - seems like a longstanding, family run restaurant with great classic flavours
We caught these guys on a quiet night, but there's something about this place that gives me the vibes of the classic large family meal out. Large tables, heaps of chairs. Really feeds good vibes
The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. There's no modern twist or Asian fusion here; this is all just classical meals that taste exactly how they should
Service was friendly and prompt as well
Overall, I enjoyed myself
This place isn't breaking any ground, but it's a great, true tasting Chinese restaurant at great prices - what more do you need
They where so slow took nearly 2 hours to get our food and it wasn't even worth it the food was disgusting
Stopped for lunch here Monday we had lunchtime specials absolutely delicious my partner says it was the best sweet and sour pork she has ever had my vegetable and mushroom dish was to die for what a gem of a restaurant we will be back
Food was ok not the best
It's to westernised for my liking.
Taste like jar sauce
This restaurant has been in the same location for around 20+ years and has been serving delicious food ever since then. While working in Salisbury we (some of the staff) used to come here most payweek Friday's for lunch. Since retiring I have frequented Emperors Crown several times and the service and food is as good as ever. Prices are comparable with other Asian restaurants but the size of the meals here are huge, so much so, that if you are unable to finish all of your meal the staff offer a take away container so you can take the rest home with you. Highly recommend the Emperor's Crown.
Beautifully tucked away and quiet with awesome food and open bar nice staff and quick service very much enjoyed my time there would recommend to anyone looking for a good Chinese restaurant
This was a long time ago for me but the take out was pretty decent from memory.this was when I was living up north. I am if the price is right willing to give them another go when going up north again.if I can get four dishes from them for about similar money to a shopping mall food court usually western meals you will have me as a customer.
Just here for dinner but haven't been here for many years. The decor seemed the same and a bit dated but it seemed clean. The service was efficient although the male waiters could have dressed a bit nicer. But hey, we were here for the food which was all very nice. The only grizzle was the beef satays were a bit dry. The fried dim sims, special fried rice, king prawns with cashews and sweet and sour pork were great and not to mention the fried ice-cream! 3.9 Stars
I very disappointed first time I been out within a couple of years.
We had a banquet cost $40 head. Was it worth it NO very small portions and not many choices.
And on when the waitress took our order I told them NO CAPSICUM in any food
Well the third plate came out and there it was.
I told her.sorry I tell the cooks. Excuse me I told you I was allergic to it.
There was no we will replace your meal, or take so much off your bill.
I will never come back here
Four friends ordered from the Seniors menu after going to the cinema. Quick & friendly service at a good orice for portions
.
Travelled to Adelaide to eat here from Perth, beautiful food. Really enjoyed it. Lovely service too
It was ok but don’t think it lived up to the praise a lot of the other reviews have given it. Serving sizes and containers have gotten very small. Meals tasted ok but nothing that blew our socks off. Certainly not bad but just not great. The honey chicken was very bland and tasted like it was missing a container of sauce. The Mongolian tasted just like satay beef. And the sizzling steak and mushrooms just tasted a bit bland as did the sweet and sour pork. Ok but wouldn’t rush back
Quick meal for one take away. Quick service polite helpfull staff. Excellent meal been before & will go again
Serving sizes of were a bit smaller than expected and special rice was short on extras (like carrot, pork ect). Service was quick
Geat service, lovely food and pleasant experience. Would recommend for family celebrations or just out to dinner.
