Edithburgh Tidal Pool reviews
37What a great place this is, you can enjoy a swim without the worry of any sea life invading your space. I wish Glenelg Beach would do this & most popular beaches
Great place. Was windy when we were there but still kinda sheltered. Kids loved it and I managed to squeeze in a few laps. There need to be more of these tidal pools around the coast.
Great experience of being sea side, the waves hitting the pool edge, and was clean too. The showers and toilets are well maintained as well. Bbq facilities are available, and the perfect spot for the family outing in the summer
Just a fantastic place to take the family & to enjoy the pool & lawns & BBQ area's & it's free to enjoy
Lots of debris floating unsure if this monitored more in the warmer months. Great option for summer!
It has been upgraded considerably since I lived over there, they have done an awesome job,
Good spot to swim in with the view of the ocean. The toilets nearby offer showers to rinse off salty water is a nice treat.
Great and safe for kids to play. However, it would be better attach some safety equipment like buoy with rope for emergency. I just assist a lady back to the pool side from the float platform in Jan. The swell get worse suddenly and no one can found any life saving equipment around tidal pool to help her. Luckily we got some own gear can tow her back to safe.
Fantastic! Would definitely recommend going in the mornings as it fills up quick come lunch on a nice day. Whether you want to relax in the tide pool, swim in the ocean or jump off the floating platform it's truly a gorgeous spot. Shade, lawn, BBQs, toilets and showers are all readily available.
It was a bit cold for us when we went but would be an amazing facility on hot days. Note that it’s not that deep, 0.9m at the deep end.
The TIDAL POOL AREA is amazing has a loverly park and BBQ area which is clean, tidy and welcoming to all families and people who come to visit.
The Toilet and change facilities are clean, respectable and well maintained.
KUDOS TO THE LOCAL COUNCIL and to the people who help to maintain this awesome facility
A great place to have a swim in salt water, if you’re scared of swimming actually in the sea. Summer is a busy period at this place. You can swim in the pool or either swim in the sea. A beautiful place for some photos too. There’s ample enough parking. There are clean public toilets as well. This place is free of charge.
The only negative point I have is, the pool was unclean and smelly the day we went there. However, there were people on it. But I felt there’s no maintenance done to the pool.
Fantastic pool if u don't want to swim in the ocean the pool is the best place to be especially in summer or if your into cold water swimming the salt water is good for you
Quiet and secluded tidal pool 5min walk from thr centre of Edithburgh. Has a potoon moored a short swim offshore from it. The showers and toilets are excellent. Car park is huge, and the lawn above it is immaculate. Perfect spot to take the kids, chill after a run, or spend an afternoon. I am starting a campaign for a giftshop.
…a beautiful and unique sanctuary from the rest of the ocean…just sit down, relax and soak it up (sometimes literally) regardless of the prevailing weather
Absolutely gorgeous! I hope the local council never ever decides to let this beauty slip into disrepair.
A fabulous, free facility for all the family.
The shallow tidal pool for younger children that refreshes at high tide and access to deeper waters suitable for snorkelling. We saw fish and rays.
Clean toilets and showers and shaded viewing area.
Picnic benches and good parking.
Well maintained.
A real asset to the YP.
Absolutely beautiful. Love to swim here when the weather is warm. Great BBQ and tables near by. Also toilets and park.
It's looks very safe as well as still being sea water, but it was too cold to go swimming but will be green on a warmer day. We were only having a look around
Absolutely love this place. A pool but set in the ocean! The set up is great, fenced in so safe for the kids and has great views for the adults. Toilets and change rooms near by are clean. BBQ facilities nearby that overlooks the pool. Has luscious green lawn area and view of the jetty nearby.
