Edeowie Station reviews
14The hospitality from Dave and Roxy was second to none. Beautiful camp sites with amazing views of the ranges. Driving and walking tracks to explore.
Friendly welcome from new managers, Roxanne and David, loved our secluded bush camp with spectacular views of the ranges and so peaceful. We did the hike into Edeowie Gorge, well worth it! Great place to stay, we will return!
On arrival we were given a warm welcome by new managers Roxy and Dave (and Hunter, the dog). As it was a quiet night, we were given the option of going to the remote camp or staying close to the Homestead and joining our hosts and some of the workers for the evening meal (pizza). We chose the latter and had a great night sharing stories and learning about the station and some of its history. As I had mentioned the stonework on the old Ghan Line, which runs through the property, we were offered a special tour to see some of this. Staying only one night was our error. We left knowing that we could have and should have stayed longer had our itinerary allowed. Don't make our mistake. And I have not even mentioned the incredible background of the Fraser Range. A must see and experience stop.
What an incredible spot! Peter and Wendy are so welcoming and helpful, cannot speak highly enough of them. Stayed for 3 nights and had lots to see and do thanks to Peter and Wendy recommendations. The entire place is immaculate, from the amenities, to the sites and even the sheds on the station.
Handing over to new managers soon, hoping the new managers can maintain the current standard. Lots of love and care has gone into this place and it really made for a wonderful stay and an amazing experience of the Flinders Ranges.
Right on the doorstep of the Flinders Ranges. Waking up to the view verymorning was sensational. Centrally located Station with good facilities and heaps of activities to fill the day or a great place to relax and do nothing!
Great place to stay for a few days! Managers (Peter and Wendy) are excellent and go out of their way to help and advise.
The camping area has the cleanest drop toilets ever seen!
It can be very dusty here, so be prepared, you are in the outback region!
We paid $30.00 per night for an unpowered site which is reasonable and keep in mind you are ‘supporting a local regional business’.
Great opportunity to explore the station and surrounds. Highly recommended.
Welcoming and friendly hosts. Home away from home accomodation in homestead. Well appointed. Clean and very comfortable. Fabulous location with two gorges to explore with direct access from the property
We had such a wonderful time at Edeowie Station in Edeowie house. Sharon and Leonard were great hosts. Sharon helped us with any local knowledge about walks and 4WD tracks. We went on their property track and had a picnic lunch in the Bunyeroo Creek which was amazing. There were so many kangaroos and emus on the property. The kids loved having a campfire at night with marshmallows and we were grateful that wood was provided. The house is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. We loved our stay and would love to come back.
Fantastic spot to pull up for the night. The owners were great to have a chat with about the area and the station itself. 10/10 would recommend it for someone looking to stop for the night.
A great accommodation. We enjoyed our 2 nights staying at this lovely house, they provided everything that we needed. Thanks Sharon for your warm hospitality. We Will definitely choose this place again if we visit Flinders Ranges in the future.
Comfortable 3 bedroom cottage with excellent amnesties. 3 good sized bedrooms modern bathroom and kitchen, everything fully equipped with very good starter pack of essentials. Slow combustion heater with plenty of fire wood for a cosy fire. Very friendly and obliging hosts. Fire pit with wood supplied and views to die for. Excellent base location for exploring the Flinders Ranges.
Terrific place. Very comfortable house on a working sheep station. Great beds, best sleep for a week. The location is good for 3 marvelous gorge drives in the Flinders Ranges and the Feral Feast at Parachilna is not far.
This place or location might not suit some folks. We loved the quietness and the setting. The house was well epuiped and very clean.
