Ed Cellars reviews
23Had the most amazing experience at 5: 30 this morning. Ordered some wine and forgot to put in the discount coupon at checkout. Wrote an email and asked whether I could correct. Joe, answered in 5 minutes and said no problem. Cancelled first order so I could submit a new one. Then on top of that they delivered today. Now that is amazing customer service.
I had the worst customer service and the weirdest situation in my whole life. Edinburgh Cellars accused me and my husband of stealing a bottle of wine at.other Adelaide liquor store, Region's Cellars.
I went to Ed Cellars to buy some wine that is rare in Adelaide. Went straight to the shop assistant, asked and got help. Carefully handling desired bottle I continued browsing looking for more wines on my wish list.
When i went to the cash register to pay for my bottle, a stuff member bumped into us and said: "Ah! It was you! "
Me: dumbfounded, not understanding what's going on. After a few minutes i got it: this guy, named Joe, has accused me and my husband of stealing wine from Region's Cellar.
They had a theft the other day. Ed Cellars guy Joe was sure it was us because he "recognised" us from Region's Cellar's security footage.
Nobody of Ed Cellar staff stopped Joe from telling us we were thieves. Everyone was silently watching the situation. Their regular (yes, we bought alcohol regularly from their store) customers who just bought fairly expensive wine were harassed in front of them.
When we coped with the shock and got back to Ed Cellar to ask the full name of abusive staff member, Joe gave us just his name and refused to tell us his surname. Moreover, when we asked for the Manager, he said he was the Manager himself. I suspect he wasn't telling the truth. When our daughter called Ed Cellar and reached the Manager, he introduced himself as Sam.
Once again: I was never in my life accused of theft. It was horrible humiliation and rudeness.
Edinburgh Cellars did NOT apologies for this situation.
Bought a 6-pack of wine which I needed shipped interstate. I was delighted to find each bottle carefully bubble wrapped and cared for. Impressive selection and a few back vintages to choose from if you're into that.
I had a terrible experience here. The staff were extremely rude to me and when I followed up with the manager, he was dismissive. Regretfully, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
They say the best measure of a business is how they treat you after the sale. Edinburgh Cellars has been very professional and courteous in my dealings, and quick-actioning on my follow-ups. I’d have no hesitation in recommending them based on my experiences. Plus they offer quite an esoteric range of wines not normally available at the mass market type retailers.
Top class booze emporium. The staff are accommodating, knowledgeable and wholly unpretentious. Their website is so good it’s dangerous!
One of the best cellars for well kept, fine and tasty beverages. Pay the little bit extra for the great advice and specialy handling. Go along for a tasting event, one for every type!
The best place for fun and fine wines, beers and spirits. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. They have the most enviable underground cellar for when you're feeling like something special.
Little known fact, but Adelaide also has the world's best bottle-o. 100s of different craft beers, rare whiskey, fine wines and all the usual suspects.
The staff are also top quality, super approachable, friendly and can also help you make those tough decisions.
Excellent selection of wines and champagne. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Will definitely be going back.
One of the best drive through bottleshops in the state for craft beer, wine and spirits. Friendly and knowledgeable staff!
I can only imagine this is what heaven looks like! Incredible array of booze to imbibe, the staff are seriously knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help. This is important as the vast array of wine can be intimidating if you're not sure what you want!
We had the most delightful experience with the lovely Oscar this evening. He was informative, warm and had exceptional product knowledge. Legend!
Very friendly staff, great product range that the staff were happy to go through.don't forget to ask to go into there wine cave. I need more money
Great bottle shop with an excellent range. Plenty of great wine, spirits, and beer. Staff are friendly and helpful.
One of the great selections of craft beers in the bottle shop. Joe has gathered all sorts of beers from all 4 corners of the world.
If you like craft beer and want something a little different, go in and check out their range.
Outstanding service. Fantastic selection of local, interstate and international wines. Great advice. Personalised service. You wouldn't find better.
One of the most extensive bottle shops in the state. A must-visit for any vino lover. Highly knowledgable staff without pretentious attitudes always assist me when I need and are genuinely excited to share whats new, whats quirky, and what is top value. Highly recommend.
We purchased a large quantity of stock for our home engagement party, and it was delivered as promised. Thanks Sam for all of your help. We appreciate the great communication!
The best bottle shop in Adelaide, I don't recall one as good in Sydney either. Staff are always welcoming.
