Eastside Foreshore reviews
18On Port Lincoln Bay jetty fishing, seals watching in Bay of an afternoon, easy drive to Tumby Bay, Coffin Bay, Sheringa Beach (100k's) & Elliston another 50 or so klms. Big sites
Only dropped in quickly on the way out of Port Augusta, lovely views of the Spencer Gulf waters.
Pretty, there's construction going on across the bridge and the driving in this section is at 40ks, in fact if your driving from Adelaide there's a whole section pre Pt Pirie to Pt Augusta that is slow going due to road works.
Nice area to walk. To bad the walkway is under construction. Plenty of locals to watch as they argue ;)
A very nice area by the wharf, cool and shady on a warm day. Only issue is ppl not picking up their dog dumps, and leaving rubbish! If others did like me and puked up a little every time it would be 5 star!
So much potential.what a real shame.what a waste.lock you car and keep valuables out of site.large groups of unsociable transients hang out here.again.a real shame for the town.wharf is fenced off.jetty removed. "Port" town with no where to even throw a line in.shame on the council for letting it get this bad.
Nice spot to pull up and take in the views of the hills and the Spencer gulf which is now the width of a river. The back drop is very serene. You can walk for a km or two. Get a coffee and relax.
Not sure if you can swim your dog there but we did and it was great. Only people there across 5 days
I am impressed how well the lawn is maintained. There are well kept ghost gums and Norfolk pines downstream. Hope the corellas don't ruin them.
The place had a relaxed weekend atmosphere.
We came to see the sunset but not a cloud to be seen.
Good park plenty for children to have swing grassed area were lovely we walked along the foreshore old whalf
Its a great place to walk along the wharf and front beach area on those summer nights. Nice place to sit relax in the evening times and to have lunch down there.
Nice quiet place to eat lunch. Little bit of construction work happening on the other side of the bridge but we gotta have progress.
Great spot on the water with lots of facilities and shade. Got coffee from Kieran's Kitchen a mobile set-up right on the water. Good coffee and up for a chat to recommend places for the wandering tourists.
Lovely area at the beach with excellent BBQ, picnic, toilet and playground facilities. Lots of seating and shade trees.
Great place to take a break. So peaceful, and while your here say Hello to Kieren @ Kieren's Kitchen
Great food and coffee from Kierans kitchen van wharf lands car park and a great view of the gulf from along the wharf.
With the view being all the temporary fencing it is not pleasant. Happy to revisit my review when it is warranted, but at the moment it looks terrible and has looked that way for too long already
Its a relaxing place to walk or ride a bike or a gopher while viewing the boats in the Gulf or the level of the tide and noticing the rego plates on numerous tourists vehicles frequently with caravans who find plenty room to park.
Now there is also a mobile refreshments and coffee and drinks available there too untill about 3pm each day which i want to sample soon. Wharfland Plaza shopping is just nearby includes Woolworths supermarket. A good spot to see the variety of vehicles and road trains that cross the bridge this being the half way across Australia spot and to western Australia and gateway to the northern Territory for both rail and road. Yes an interesting place.
