East End Cellars reviews
55Great bustling specialist wine and spirits shop with wonderful food choices and great wines by glass listing!
". Where East End girls meet West End boys. "
Very stylish, very nice, very well appointed, BUT just very expensive. Round of 4 nearly $80. I had the Chenin from (Sth Africa - who would have thought!), $18 a glass. (Very nice). For the SA rich, read no further, for the rest of us, very nice to drop in on the way to, or from somewhere else.and enjoy, it's very nice.
Service is a little 'nose in the air' here. Surprisingly, wine by the glass is limited in terms of Australian options.
Normally love the East End Cellars, walked across town from a charity event at Pinky Flat to get a glass of Italian red here today but got it served in a glass with a chip in the rim that cut my lip. In fairness the beautiful staff poured my wine into a fresh glass and apologised but this just shouldn’t happen in a quality wine bar. What happened to the bit where bar staff check the glass before they pour?
Busy wine cellar with a huge choice of drinks. There's seemed to be an endless que to get drinks, which was disappointing.
Went for end of year work dinner. Staff were reasonably quick considering how busy it was. Food was ok and plenty of quality drink. It was extremely busy and loud - didn't understand why they then turned music on? It was even worse after that.
What a gem in the east end. Amazing food, we got a great bottle of Chablis in their bottle shop with just a $15 corkage and had a corker of a night.
Really like coming here for a drink for their exotic and very high quality wine. Plenty of space.
Super friendly staff, great vibe, great atmosphere, great wine. Good place to sip wine and chill.
Very cool place to go for a drink. Staff were exceptionally helpful and the venue had a great vibe.
Perfectly located for a vino and cheeseboard. Amazing during the March Madness season.
Idyllic for a drink with friends, or a fun time out.
What a disappointment. Huge pork chop. No sides and no mention of sides on the menu. It was worse than pub grub and 3 times the price. We expected so much ore
Absolutely love dining here when in Adelaide. Of course, their wine selection is incredible with price & diversity for all budgets. But their food.wow. Incredibly high quality and flavour to die for. The pastas are always my to go to and love that they always change + have a delicious vegetarian option. I had the herb gnocchi most recent and it was the best pasta I've had! Also a cool vibe dining here and great people watching during the day to pass the afternoon by with a wine! Highly recommended
Enjoyed drinks with my friends tonight, and need to say Peter is amazing! Great service, super accomodating regardless of how busy they were. What a champ x
Peter was great bought me and my partner two different types of waters on request. Went above and beyond with great service!
A complete mess up night on a Tuesday. We had a booking but the booking wasn’t registered, booked outside table but it was all taken so we have to sit inside. The indoor dining was packed despite the density restrictions so we requested to sit outside again being uncomfortable without the air flow and packed crowds. We continued to sit inside after being brushed away. No offering of service or drinks from the staffs, when we placed our food order, were told the kitchen couldn’t cope so only cheese and cold meats are available. When we paid the bill, additional items were added to our bill from another table. What a nightmare experience! We went across the road for a better experience.
Great place to relax with a wine. And if you don’t like one on the menu, head into the bottle shop and choose one from 100s (plus a corkage which I think was $15) - try the kingfish = Awesome.
Lovely experience sitting on the pavement with an unusual assortment of small dishes to share. The idea of a bottle shop along side with $15 corkage is good if you want a particular wine but our sparkling was good and not expensive.
Cool place but for some reason there were hundreds of dirty wine glasses all over the place. It was very precarious and made me feel on edge.
Great staff, accommodating when they sat us outside after we had booked inside, they were quick to move us when a table was available with no fuss. The food was overpriced and underwhelming.
Facilities clean and well looked after.
