Early Settler reviews
47 Worst customer experience ever! We got 2 coffee tables, as i told the lady i was going to get the car around while the items were being wrapped, she just left them in front of the main entrance without the tables being wrapped at all, not even mentioning to be careful as the top glass comes off as it's not fixed. Not a care in the world!
But at the end of the day you are buying stuff made in China so.
Great people excellent presentation of shop and staff. Always friendly and helpful to everyone
Such good customer service! Nikki and Jasmine helped us with replacement legs for a bed bought five years ago - incredibly helpful.
I spend to much money when I am here go in for a look go home with something new every time and love my chandelier and lamp
I came in today having spoken to Robbie on the phone about a missing bracket. She, and the lady behind the desk were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and were able to assist me there and then without fuss. We were able to fit the pendants within a couple hours and they look great. A huge thank you to these two ladies and the team at Early Settler - very impressed with your customer service going above and beyond my expectations.
Love the store and the variety of furniture and decor items it sells. I feel the furniture fixtures and fittings are very reasonably priced. But I have to say, I have walked that store for 45 mins to an hour and not been approached by a customer service representative. They all seem to be busy restocking or fluffing up the cushions. Normally, I would like to be let alone, but a simple "do you need any help" would suffice.
Please note, when they say a couch will take 6 months and you pay for it outright - it will take a year or unknown because there’s no actual stock.
BUYERS BEWARE. I will NEVER shop here again. AWFUL, awful quality furniture, especially for what you pay. Looks good in the showroom, but once you receive your order, its cheap and nasty in reality. Ordered a bone inlay table which i had to wait over 6 months for. Upon finally receiving, the top of table was full of thin cracks which i was told were normal? Didn't look normal! I was basically told I could return or accept it as is. Really disappointing experience. Staff were unhelpful and unreasonable. Will be shopping elsewhere from now on.
I took delivery of a king size kalise bedroom suite yesterday. (Bed, mattress, side tables and chest) I found the sales assistant very polite and helpful while another, a couple of weeks later easily added the chest of draws to my order that I was not sure about ordering initially. I was telephoned and booked a delivery date as all became available in Adelaide. Also found the delivery tracker text to me on the day very helpful. The guys that delivered were polite, helpful and caring unloading the furniture and specifically checked and unwrapped 1 table. The prices were reasonable for what I bought and thought the delivery charge acceptable. Nice large Adelaide store with something different for most tastes.
Yes will be back.
Excellent customer service and an always interesting range of reasonably priced household furniture.
The customer service at Early Settler in Adelaide is second to none. We ordered furniture and all arrived on time and was perfect. Anytime we rang the staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a small issue with a chair and it was no problem. Replaced
We live in the Mid North of SA so this service is very appreciated. We will make further purchases. Keep up the great work, prices and variety
New Cafe opening today, pretty in pink, lovely deserts and coffee. Friendly welcoming owner & staff. Relaxing to stop for a coffee while you shop for furniture.
My last furniture was 15yrs old and still looked brand new. Highly recommend.
Love visiting Early Settler, always something new to look at!
The staff are so friendly and helpful!
Excellent service and reasonable prices!
Stunning, beautiful and thoughtfully designed pieces. The sales person Zoe provided an A+ customer service experience.
Thank you, very much appreciated
Best furniture store in Adelaide. A wide scale of styles - from boho to industrial, excellent quality, and very, very competitive prices.
What a great place to shop. This place is super aesthetic and really appeals to those looking for that unique piece. It is on the higher end of the budget scale, but the quality and the customer service is worth the premium price tag.
I love that shop.they have beautiful things. I bought the Verdun outdoor chairs and I am very happy with them. I did my research and looks like they are the only ones in that style with UV protection to use outdoor. It is not cheap but not expensive either.
They never answer their phone after several calls over several days and when you leave your details to call back they don’t call back. Hopeless phone manners.
Bought nearly $5000 worth of furniture. Service is good until you encounter a problem then the staff become less friendly and more defensive. They dont update info on computer so you have to keep explaining the issue to a different staff everytime you call. They delivered faulty furniture then insist because it is delivered the customer needs to follow a process if they want a replacement or refund. The product quality is poor because they source from Asia but claim to be Oz or NZ timber.
Oak coffee table was actually oak veneer. We found out because part of the veneer had chipped off and we could see the cheap wood underneath. We were shocked because table cost $400. Sofa has shonky workmanship with one of its four legs shorter than the rest. Cabinet broken in transit. Manager tried to palm it off by saying they will give discount. We said no and made arrangements for replacement but she was slack and did not update the office so piece got delivered. Had to call office and another tussle trying to explain. When I rang about the other faulty pieces I again encountered resistance. Staff was unsympathetic. Did not want to know. Told me it is a process. Had to go all the way to the shop. One of the first things the manager said to me was that she didnt care if we spend $50 or $50000, she has a process. How insensitive! You would think after spending nearly $5000 we deserve to be treated with some decency. Guess not.
I was really angry having to deal with the shop because I thought they were professsionals.
Fantastic range of furniture and accessories. Best in Adelaide by far. Great service too. Now my favourite furniture store.
