Dymocks Adelaide reviews
48The new Dymocks Store is very inviting and difficult to leave without a book or several. All tastes are catered for within a lovely open space setting with quite nooks to sit awhile and contemplate before you purchase. The store excell especially in their History, Biography, Philosophy, Poetry and English Lit, sections while other tastes are equally catered for especially the children's selection and books for young adults. Pricing is reasonable and standard with bargains and specials to be found throughout the store. For book lovers young and old Dymocks has your needs covered and all complemented with a friendly helpful staff to guide you in the right direction for your reading recruitments.
Love real books! None of those e-reader things.
Dymocks is huge!
So much selection it can either be overwhelming or a readers Heaven! Give yourself some decent time to meander through their vast array and enjoy!
Has a fantastic range of books from novels to special interests and is well laid out. Their new shop is awesome!
First time visit since they removed the ground floor shop
The whole store is so marvelous
Ceiling is great
Huge choice for booklet
I could spend whole day there
The staff members are very friendly, lovely and knowledgeable. They truly loved the books and jobs, and they are very passionate as well. They are truly "books lover" people, and they know a lot of the books and can make excellent recommendations of the books according to your needs. They are there because of they have to be there, but they are truly loved their positions and jobs. They are there to help you in every need. The books on the shelves are great books too!
Prefer the old store down at the eastern end of the Mall but staff are always friendly, helpful and well informed.
Love this store, only discovered it 6 months ago. Has a massive selection of books. Every time I come in here for a casual browse I end up leaving with something interesting:) but now they've moved to Gawler place and I can't find them lol.probably getting ready to reopen
Great little bookshop. Friendly and helpful staff. I overheard that the sale that was on last week is because they're closing, which is a shame. Got a couple of books at a good price.
It's in the process of closing down and moving to a pop up shop; so not all the normal range is in stock. However, staff are still helpful and smiling.
This place has (temporarily?) moved into the Myer Centre, level 1. Smaller than it's previous location but still had what I needed. Encountered no issues shopping here.
Big shop on the move apparently, look forward to visiting the new store in the future, great service, friendly staff and a great range of products!
Bought a couple of books. Bought one for full price and the second was half price. Young girl on first floor was excellent
Sad news. Such a wonderful store. One of those businesses where simply walking through the front door - you knew you were in one of your happy places. Fantastic collection and service was always terrific, both in terms of personal and professional reading. Always offered great advice for our school community library. Wish staff all the best.
Looked for books for my son since he need proper learning materials for his foreign language class. Staff were friendly
It's a rare thing these days to find an old school bookshop where the staff know their stuff.
As someone who has worked in books way back when flairs, paisley shirts and book launchings with roll mops and dry martinis is were a thing,
Love it.
Great place lot of different literature from Arts, History, Technology, Biographys, education and for the little ones reasonable prices and also can have special order great staff love Dymocks
I loved it. Such fantastic range of books. I loved it. I great range Blyton books. I loved fantastic lady served. She should get raise well done
Really do enjoy popping into this store. Staff are knowledgable and friendly. Vast array of books and I could browse for ages. Only thing I would change is to introduce a lgbt area so I could browse those books and not have to come prepared. However overall I love this store.
As one of the few remaining book stores in Adelaide, Dymocks is a staple of the community. Great range, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and beautiful books.
Serving Adelaide's literary needs for as long as I can remember, Dymocks CBD has a host of friendly, knowledgeable and well read staff + an incredible collection of books for all ages and interests.
