Dumpling planet reviews
16 I hate to say this however I ordered a king prawn noodle bowl for lunch and not only was I overcharged but it was the worst bowl I have ever had. The noodles where soggy, the peanut sauce was pure peanut butter and only got four prawns! I ended up throwing it out.
Very disappointed
We went here as our hotel was close.
Good Asian food with decent price.
We’ve ordered Hoikken Noodle and Kueh Tiao and both are tasty. I would say above average.
Staff was nice too. Kindly explained us the menu.
I made a mistake while ordering, and staff were extremely helpful at their own inconvenience. Food is really delicious!
My campus is nearby and this is my comfort go-to resto after studying.they serve such a wide variety of cuisines which baffles me a little but everything i've ordered so far tastes really good (maybe not all of the dishes are authentic but still very flavourful nonetheless). Prices are also amazing.
When I went inside to order, the lady at the counter was not friendly and not smile. The food was not great, fried rice was plain and Japanese chicken curry was not the best and it had big pieces of carrots on it and two small chips on the curry. Not going back there again
Charged extra without telling by 2 dollars each on both my orders and upon asking why they charged me extra they said because it’s public holiday and I m like that’s fkin wrong n yes after repeating that it was not mentioned anywhere n it was not ethical to charge extra without telling she offered to refund the excess which I didn’t take it back as I feel if it’s the policy they shld stick firm to their policy and explanation would be good enuff. Anyways at the end she gave me a free drink which was more decent.
A great place to come for lunch, focusing on a diverse choice of Asian options served with flavour and efficiency
Hindley’s full of gems, this place is definitely one to check out - Laksa is king!
Polite staff, good service, 麻辣牛肉面 was great.
Menu said bubble tea but didn't come with any pearls. Tea was good but probably just one of many things lost in translation or maybe because I asked for less sugar.
I never do fake reviews, this is not a fake review, I will visit again.
Decided to try this place out, since it was near my place. I ordered their stir fried noodle with beef+spring onions and steamed chicken+prawn dumplings. Noodle was very mediocre, beef wasn’t as tender as i expected. Dumplings were very good tho. One thing I don’t understand is, why would you charge 10% extra on the sunday as “service charge” on the final bill when they barely provided any services, (ex. Asking me to take my own menu, not very accommodating i felt) and I don’t know if it’s just me or what but i have never experienced extra charges on Sundays. I understand that it can be costly to hire a staff on Sunday, but i believe that is the other end that you should try to handle. (ex. Reduce opening hrs on sunday, or provide superb service and ambience if you wanna charge customers for an additional “service charge”).
Overall i am not too sure about the other food, but their dumplings are good, better ambience and accommodating services would make it perfect.
I'm not often down this end of Hindley Street but Dumpling Planet was worth the walk. Quick service and great value for money. The dumplings were plump and juicy and really tasty. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup was delicious - the broth was amazing and the beef slices were so tender.
AWESOME is what the experience was. I ordered the vegetable dumplings and voila they were amazing & well worth it. Highly recommend to visit! Warm welcoming staff
Very tasty food and staffs are also very friendly. Me and my husband went there for lunch and dinner. We loved there food. The environment also nice. I recommend everyone to try their food and I bet you won't regret it
Very polite staff and quick service. We had two orders of Hainanese Chicken and Rice. Very tasty and authentic. I will recommend you to friends.
Ordered the Japanese curry chicken rice cuz they recommended it.the chicken was still frozen cold.then waited another 5 minutes for them to reheat it in the microwave.that was $12.terrible.
Chicken and Prawn dumpling in Hot Sour Soup is really good! Loved the pan fried pork dumplings and Tom yum fried rice too. They also sell bubble tea, we got lychee green tea with pearls and it was perfect! All affordable and the young waitress was super nice and welcoming! 10/10 and definitely will come back soon!?
Disappointed really…! After me and a mate ordered a Laksa and a Spicy Beef soup, which wasn’t available and changed to a hot sour dumpling soup…. We were the only two in shop at 11am and after waiting 15 minutes both came out cold!
