Dulwich Bakery reviews
14I fly to Adelaide, I buy a box of their glorious classic donuts. HUGE donuts, perfect dough, so fresh. They are the donut yardstick to measure all donuts against. GOAT donut. When I fly back to WA (land of the god awful trash donuts) I weep. Not even joking. Thank you.
I went to the bakery at 2.47pm today, 3 sausage rolls and a pasty In there warmer. I get only a couple hours till the close, but you’d think they have more stock or variety in food warmer, considering they could have an after school rush. The girl who served me was not smiling nor friendly, and cared more about an Uber order that went off while I was standing waiting to be served. She walked up and approached me with a what’s up? Instead of a ‘hi, how can I help you? I worked for the business many years ago at the grange location and management was always about getting staff to have great customer service skills. Not sure what’s going on with the management now, but staff like that is what ruins a business. Won’t be returning, and I doubt the business will last long, with staff like that and barely any stock in warmer. Hence why they weren’t busy. So sad knowing it was a great bakery when I worked at the grange location years ago.
I went to buy some pasties for lunch at 1pm. None left. So I purchased a few of their party pasties and a meat and chilli pie. The pasties were just thick pastry with only about a teaspoon of mixture inside so basically it was nearly all hollow. The pie was quite nice (the reason for 2 star review and not a 1). Also purchased a bar of carrot cake. Whilst it tasted nice it was the crumbliest cake and impossible to slice and serve on a plate for guests. It just fell to bits. I don’t think I will be purchasing from them again.
Nice and hot pasties and good coffee. We are in the seating area which was nice and quiet out of the main food court area. Service was friendly and efficient.
They need to take their vegan pies off the menu—I’ve asked for one three times (in a row!) on separate days. And they say “sorry all gone … but I can heat one up for you”. No I want it now, you’re supposed to be a pie location, not a restaurant. Staff standing around doing nothing (at lunch time) why not do your job and keep the pie warmer stocked. Never going to ask again … just going elsewhere. Shame those pies were nice snd that shop (Golden Grove) will prob go broke soon?

My husband and I shop at Golden Grove and decided we would have a sausage roll each from Dulwich Bakery, big mistake it was disgusting could not even identify what the filling consisted of, If all food packages display the ingredients then all baked items should have the ingredients displayed as well. I have always enjoyed there great products but never again?
A great bakery located inside the food court of Golden Grove Village (now known as The Grove Shopping Centre). Great service and coffee, although I was a little surprised to see a lack of tap water on offer. This is meant to be a given in bakeries!
Bought a gluten free sausage roll. The pastry was very good. Hard to get good gluten free pastry. The filling was good, a good product. Hope they develop and sell a bigger variety.
Early afternoon on a weekend and they never have the hot pastry you're after. Every. Weekend.
Shocking experience! We ordered a birthday cake for a 50th Birthday celebration one week in advance with a birthday message on the cake. We were very particular about the birthday message making sure they had the correct name spelling & how important it was to us. When we went to pick up the order, there was no message/ inscription on the cake. They had forgotten to send the details with the order. Couldn’t offer a solution to the problem. They gave us a $2.50 discount for a $50 cake. We had to then find someone to pipe the message onto an icing disc which could be placed on the cake. It cost much more than $2.50. Very poor service!
Went here yesterday. Ordered soup which should have had a bread roll with it according to the photo on the advertisement. It came without" i was informed that's only a photo.
Thank you but That comes under false advertisement? Does it not?
The muffin was dry and tasteless, for a triple chocolate- I didn't taste much. It felt at least a day if not more old. For the price i'd expect fresh daily. Coffee was good. Donut was good.
Went very early in morning to buy cake but only had 3 to choose from. Which was sad. Always used to have a great selection, with previous owner. Not so much fresh cakes now.
