Surgery to repair a labral tear on my hip should not have been done. The results have been devastating for myself and have reduced my once very fit, strong and active body to being able to only walk up to 50metres. There was no consideration of the fact that I was petite - he was arrogant and very quick to operate, dismissing my questions and concerns with the indication that I should simply do as he said.
Before the surgery I was lifting weights and hiking, but unable to run and cycle. Now, nearly three years later, I can hardly walk and live in constant pain.
