This was my first surgery in over 30 years and I have to say I was very impressed with the whole process from consultation until the end appointment after surgery and the post op time for healing. I did not experience any pain post op and also the surgery scarring is very minimal. An excellent result all round, thank you to everyone involved in my care from start to finish.

George and his team are beautiful and amazing, the seamless approach from

Dr Balalis and the team at his clinic are highly professional but the atmosphere is not clinical or cold, it's warm, friendly, supportive and encouraging. Gall bladder out yesterday with Dr Balalis. I was a anxious mess, but Dr balalis's bedside manner is nothing but care and compassion. Himself and his professional surgical team were able to calm me down, showing nothing but kindness and care. (I am autistic so fyi to ASD peeps they handle the situation with care)

Post op the pain is easily managed with pain relief, was up walking the ward a few hours post op.

Dr Balalis came in to check on me after hours, which I was shocked as I know he has a beautiful family waiting for him at home. Just shows his genuine care for his patients.

Post op cuts are beautiful. Many friends and family have commented on photos of my cuts saying that they have never seen such clean and neat wounds.

I walked into surgery with full trust in my choice of surgeon and walked away with a even higher level of respect for himself and his wonderful team.

This surgeon and his team are absolutely fantastic. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. They understand and are so supportive. I couldn't have asked for a better team to look after me through my journey and I will actually miss them when I don't need them anymore.

I CANNOT speak highly enough of George! I saw George at such a sensitive and vulnerable time in my life and he instantly made me feel so comfortable and welcome! He was completely non-judgmental, caring and showed so much compassion. I was incredibly anxious as I had never had surgery and I will never forget how comforting he was right before surgery, after and still 1 year post-op. The way that George and his team go about WLS is ensuring your weight loss is sustainable and giving you a much better chance to maintain. I would not recommend anyone else. I have seen MANY people go to other places with much less support and their weightloss has not been sustained and have unfortunately watched them return to old habits as they weren't given the correct tools.

Dr Balalis performed revisional surgery for me in July 2021. Given a poor first experience I was a little apprehensive to say the least. I could not be happier with the service and experience I had. I felt supported and very genuinely cared for the whole way through, not just from Dr Balalis but also all the support teams and even today 11 months later still do. He makes you feel like a real person, not a number. He is not elitist at all and yet is such an expert in his field! I have never had a surgery where the surgeon comes and checks on you so often post surgery, outside of hours, sits and talks with you and truly cares for every patient.

He was compassionate and kind more than anything. He could appreciate how difficult weight loss can be. He can also just have a laugh, which really helped to make me feel welcomed and supported.

After years of obesity I’m currently 43kg down and I have my life back! Thankyou so much to Dr Balalis the amazing GPS, Dietitian’s and support community. I am currently 2 weeks post op from having the Gastric Sleeve with Dr Balalis. I cannot recommend him highly enough! His professionalism and bedside manner is second to none.
