I must say Judy the receptionist was the most pleasant part of my visit, she gets the Star. However Dr Zacest was not. He was very arrogant and did not seem interested in my situation at all. I needed help urgently with severe Trigeminal Neuralgia that I have been suffering from for a very long time. I felt he talked down to me and just brushed off my problem altogether. I walked out of there in absolute shock that he wouldn't help me and for 2 days felt beaten down because of him. I was dumbfounded by his attitude. A total waste of my time and money. I should not have been charged $350 for this appt. He was terrible.

In March 2023 Dr Zacest performed spinal surgery on me after long suffering sciatic pain
I had immediate relief and an uneventful recovery - then 9 weeks post op I commenced 14,000km of travel though the Kimberly’s and WA with many gorge walks and dime corrugated roads
I am so pleased to report I managed this pretty well and any discomfort soon settled
I am so grateful for the skill and expertise of Dr Zacest you truely have made a different to my QOL
I am now doing my best to maintain my fitness and strength
A big thankyou to Judy, you are so efficient bright and friendly

I was Fortunate to be recommended to Dr Andrew Zacust I had been suffering with trigeminal neuralgia for about 10 years had two unsuccessful MVDs and from the first point of call when I received a phone call from the wonderful receptions Judy regarding making my appointment I was able to get in the next day and within the next week, I was actually in hospital having surgery. I had radiofrequency surgery and I am after a week after the surgery I am totally pain It is the best Christmas present I could’ve ever got Dr Zacust was wonderful through out the whole experience, explaining to me in detail what the surgery was and what I was to expect afterwards and then I received a phone call from him within a week to check on how I was going. I could not recommend him any higher.

I recently had Microvascular decompression surgery for a very debilitating condition Trigeminal Neuralgia. I found Dr Andrew Zacest to be extremely kind and professional. He explained everything in detail and I knew I was in the right hands. I had been in alot of pain for 18 months and on various medications that didn't help the condition at all. I am so grateful I found Dr Zacest and his wonderful Receptionist Judy. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for me. I had a very successful operation and feel like I have my life back. I'm completely pain free and couldn't of wished for a better result.

Dr Zacest has changed my life. Went to see him desperate for some help, have been in terrible pain from a ruptured L4/5 in my lower back which radiated through my left leg for too long now. Dr Zacest performed a decompression laminectomy and here I am 6 days later pain free (residual wound pain only) and very much looking forward to living without all that pain. Judy, Dr Zacest’s Office Administrator is an absolute gem, is extremely efficient, and the kindest person that guided me through this and made it an effortless journey, thank you Judy:) Dr Zacest, thank you again so much, not only are you extraordinarily clever and smart, you are a very caring, professional, and gentle Neurosurgeon, so very glad that I found you to help me. If ever any other if my discs play up, I would definitely return. Cannot recommend Dr Zacest highly enough, I was in excellent hands, and will always be grateful to him for giving me my quality of life back. Thanks to all the wonderful Calvary Adelaide staff also, felt very spoilt!

After suffering with spinal nerve pain for 8 months, Dr Zacest understood my wife Pamela's problem and suggested an operation. He explained in detail the procedure and answered all our questions in a caring and professional manner. My wife is now pain free after undergoing the successful operation and is now very happy and living a normal life. We must give thanks to his receptionist Judy who is a lovely person and was very helpful in all aspects, arranging all the appointments in a kind and friendly manner.
Thank you Dr Zacest and Judy for giving Pamela a new lease on life.

Being treated by Assoc Professor Andrew Zacest isn't just about one or two visits it is a journey that you go on with him and a team of professionals. I had been affected by a very bad tremor for 40 years and virtually every Neurologist I saw gave me a different diagnosis. This team gave me the correct diagnosis and then calmly went ahead snd eliminated about 99% of it.

I was told that people may have different outcomes and that is probably so but for the first time in 40 years I can drink a cup of coffee straight from a cup. It's the little things that make a day special and this team gave me plenty of laughter and care while undertaking something that literally changed my life.

Dr Andrew Zacest has literally changed my life. I have been in constant 24/7 pain for the last three years, bouncing from specialist to specialist. His suggestion of a Neuro Stimulator has been nothing short of miraculous.
Dr Zacest is supported by the amazing Judy. She is such a kind, compassionate, organised and efficient assistant to Dr Zacest.
The best medical team I've met!

Dr Zacest was very kind and caring. No doubt his qualifications speak for his overall experience. His receptionist, Judy is always so bright, friendly and most importantly knowledgeable. I emailed and called several times with questions and she never made me seem like a bother and even reassured me enough with her detailed answers to my questions.

Absolutely fantastic experience. After suffering from severe back pain for many months, I discovered I had a rare tumour growing in my spinal cord. I was referred to the amazing Professor Zacest by my GP who highly recommended him and she wasn't wrong! Professor Zacest successfully removed the tumour and I immediately felt relief from the severe pain I had suffered prior to surgery. He is caring, communicated well and visited me in hospital every day for the week I was there. Most importantly he fixed me. His receptionist Judy is delightful. I totally recommend!

After chronic leg and back pain, on receiving a recommendation from a friend I was fortunate to have an Apt with Professor Zacest.
I had spinal surgery to relieve compression on the nerves 6 weeks ago.
The resulting before and after transformation was incredible.
Dr Zacest is a brilliant surgeon supported by Judy
Who is a very friendly and an effecient receptionist.
What a team, they don't come any better and I highly recommend them.

I went to Dr Zacest for a second opinion and for more information on a diagnosis. From the moment I walked into the office, Judy.at the front desk was delightful, pleasant and friendly to deal with. The appointment with Dr Zacest was also above expectation. He explained everything in detail, and at no time did I feel rushed to explain symptoms or to leave.
Thoroughly recommended.

I was referred to Dr. Andrew Zacest in February of 2021 For Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery. As soon as my husband and I walked in the door we were greeted by Judy, a lovely caring receptionist who goes out of her way to help you in any way she can.
We both found Dr. Andrew Zacest to be very professional and caring in his approach and he explained everything in a way my husband and I could both understand. When my surgery was unfortunately canceled due to COVID he was very understanding and both Judy and Dr. Andrew Zacest did their very best to insure the surgery was rescheduled as soon as possible. I would definitely recommend Dr Andrew Zacest to anyone who is considering similar surgery.

Could not recommend Dr Zacest highly enough. As a long time sufferer of trigeminal neuralgia, I found him to be totally empathetic and understanding of my condition. He went through all of the options available to me, explaining each procedure and outcomes thoroughly. Judy on reception is just wonderful. I felt totally safe and confident the the hands of these people. Thank you both.

I would like to share what great service my husband and I received from Dr Zacest and his receptionist Judy. They both made us feel very comfortable and very professional. Judy went out of her way to organise appointments and nothing was too hard for her. Thank you so much Judy for everything you did for us, it was really most appreciative when we were going and still are going through hard times. Christine and Chris

From the minute you walk into Dr. Zacest rooms, you are greeted by Judy. Judy is bubbly and greets you with a smile and makes you feel so comfortable. You are not ignored in the waiting room, Judy chats to you and makes you feel so welcome. Dr Zacest greets you as a professional caring doctor. He explained Garry's surgery in layman terms, so Garry could understand the Deep Brain Stimulus Operation he was having for his Parkinson's. Dr. Zacest made us feel very relaxed. Dr. Zacest bedside manner is of a very high standard and even laughs and chats with you. (As a nurse myself, you don't often see Drs a lot with good bedside manners) He made Garry feel relaxed throughout the pre op visits and post op visits in the ward. I understand through our experience why Dr. Zacest is highly regarded in his field. Great customer service, fantastic environment and a mention to Jess who also works there, thanks for your great smile and laughs. Garry & Desiree O'Keeffe

I found Dr Zacest a most caring and compassionate doctor who went out of his way to accommodate me. Judy is the most wonderful person to greet you and help through the process. Doctor Zacest even rang me after a week to see if I was ok as I had some palsy post surgery. Not many doctors in this day and age do this. Thank you to all involved with my surgery
