Dom Polski Centre reviews
23Today we enjoyed Pierogi Sunday with 7 friends. It was a wonderful family event with a mixed patronage. Young families and older groups. Very well organised. The meal was delicious with coffee and cake to follow. Could not fault the occasion.
I would like to say something really nice about this place but it's not easy. On one hand it's an Adelaide institution, on another one it's really old and tired.
This place really needs a good refresh
The 2023 Australian School Championships for boxing was held at this venue from 5th July to 8th July.
What a great event show casing plenty of talented fighters from around Australia.
Went to Dom Polski for pierogi Sunday. Absolutely delicious, just like my mum used to make. 10/10.
What's not to like here, great food and events seem to happen quite often. It's so good that the daughter has joined the dancing team.
We were lucky enough to attend a fund raising gala for Christopher
Bellamy and his family last Friday night the 3rd Feb.
I learned that the dom polski centre has donated to that evening as well.
The venue was sensational and the staff respectful, polite and attentive. Food was superb also, decorations perfect.
I highly recommend this venue if one is ever considering a function.
Great venue for SA Masters boxing champion ship. We went to support our local boxing club Full tilt fight and fitness with two fighters taking part in the 3 day event. Definitely coming back in June for the next event.
A great venue for many events like performances, quiz nights, ballroom dancing (I imagine). Nice wide staircase and probably a lift somewhere. It has a bar, high ceilings and nice lighting too.what could you want.
Dom Polski Centre can easily accommodates about 350 to 400 people. Can arrange for light snacks as well and is almost in the middle of the town. What one pay for 3 hrs event is about $1000 is reasonable.
Went to this centre for a recent event with the National Mental Health Comission & it was easy & convenient to get to, there was adequate street parking, and close to trams etc. I hadnt been to this venue before. There were no technology issues on the night, the catering was lovely and staff all very helpful. Happy to recommend this location for confrences, etc.
Only been to this venue for wrestling events but always thought it's a good one. There is plenty of room, the staff are friendly and the area itself is always clean and tidy.
The Dom Polski Centre is a well designed function hall for specific events and functions. My personal experience with the venue is with attending a Boxing Tournament. The venue helped to create both an exciting atmosphere and an accommodating layout.
It's centralised location with ample parking and close proximity to the tram stops made it very easy to get to and in terms of community events this can make it an ideal meeting point.
As far as function halls go, I would recommend this establishment.
Went to Ross Wilson for fringe. Jammed in at long tables. Most uncomfortable. Would have been better if it was just seating and no tables. Sound not great. Would not go there again for a concert if that is the set up.
This was an excellent facility for the Polish community as well as the people of Adelaide. Sadly i believe it has been lost to the Polish club and they will relocate.
Went there to cover an event.
The lighting is not constant on all over the stage area. The sound from the sound mixer is very bad.
Good for indoor functions. Does not have a child toilet or change room.
Lots of street parking if an event is on after hours or weekends.
Spacious upstairs ballroom and smaller, more intimate bar at ground level. Great facilities and well maintained Polish treasure in the heart of the city.
I used to hang out there a lot when young, great for meeting friends but now a top venue for wrestling and boxing matches! The place itself needs some tender loving care - getting on with age.
It is our Polish Culture centre in Adelaideand my boys as many others.started dancing when they were 5 years old.now 13 and 14 years later still dancing and now teaching others to love our heritage and Culture.
Thanks to Pawel and the rest of the older staff who willingly donate time and energy in keeping The Polish culture going for all these years.
