DogRidge Cellar Door, Gallery & Vineyards reviews
35Fantastic atmosphere combined with a simple and cozy place. Beautiful view and customer service is just phenomenal. The best part is that you can taste 6 types of wine for FREE, and I'm sure you will leave this place with a bottle They also have some nibbles (almond, pistachio, olives +) and platter including cheese, cracker, dried fruits etc. Had a wonderful time there, highly recommended.
A perfect end to a rainy day in Adelaide. A charming winery with plenty of character. Fantastic tasting experience and importantly very good Wine. Thanks Danny for bringing us along last Thursday arvo.
We started our winery tour here - and we were not disappointed. After returning to the McLaren Vale after a ten-year absence it was great to find a winery that reminded us of why we love the wines from this region and how the experience use to be.
Beautiful backdrop, great staff and child friendly.
The wines here are great the Butterfingers Chardonnay is how all good oaked Chardies should be. Will be ordering from this winery whenever possible.
Service was great, wines good and reasonably priced. Loved sitting under the tree enjoying our byo picnic while tasting.
Thank you for a leisurely time.
Very quiet and away from the crowds. Particularly yummy botrytis. Super friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, I could have stayed there all afternoon. Great label activity for adults or kids and other products like olive oil from wild trees and condiment also available
Went there yesterday with our 2 large dogs. Chris was very welcoming. The cheese platter was delicious and plentiful. Wonderful little winery. Highly recommend.
We had the opportunity to visit dog ridge in September with my 2 pups. I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted with open arms. I have a small pup and a large pup. Both puppies are a little reactive when there are other dogs. The staff were super accommodating and let us sit up the back. When other dogs came and we had to pack up we were able to go inside with the dogs and purchase the wine and leave quietly. The lady giving us the tasting bad amazing customer service and didn’t make us feel embarrassed when our dogs couldn’t handle the other visitors. The wine was really lovely the GSD was great and the sparkling pink moscato was really yummy and reminded me of Christmas.
One of my favourite vineyards in the area. Generous tasting at the cellar door with a very friendly and knowledgeable server. Their fortifieds in particular were delightful.
This cellar door is very dog friendly.
As we adventured around Mclaren Vale we stopped in quite late but this didn’t stop the fantastic service we received. Great wine with a beautiful setting not to mention a huge plus on being dog friendly!
Great wines and friendly wine maker.
Generous with his time and funny stories.
Very nice Chardonnay (Butter fingers)
and I don’t usually buy Chardonnay.
Lovely boutique winery with a good selection of wines, every one of which was delicious. Great service from Janet too
Terrific wine tasting & service (The Pup MCM) ; most generous cheese platter for 2; plus the art gallery. Perfect Sunday outing in McLaren Vale.
Fantastic hospitality and one of the best old fashioned (aka properly oak matured) chardonnays you can find in the Vale.
Great little winery in very picturesque location. Young man at cellar door very friendly and informative. Great wines at good prices. Enjoyed the cheese platter and atmosphere.
Loved this place! Super dog friendly which is the biggest tick for me. We were allowed to bring our dogs indoors to be with us while tasting and we were set up under a lovely warm heater. Dee was the BEST host ever. A real people person who could read the room and knew exactly how to pace our tasting. We met some other lovely people there who Dee helped to encourage interaction between. Really lovely experience! Keep doing an amazing job Dee, loved our arvo with you.
Great little intimate cellar door setting, with some cool local art adorning the walls. Good tasting regime which allowed flexibility for personal taste, and a very friendly and affable hostess Dee just rounded off the experience. Also meet some great wine (&dog!) lovers here which just made for a great afternoon. Ohh the wines… they were excellent! The whites and aromatic reds were fresh and lively, the Grenache, Shiraz & Cab Sauv all had 4/5 years on them so they’re drinking beautifully now. Do yourself a favour and head out here, Highly recommended.
Great cellar door with a diverse selection of reds and whites. Down to Earth, friendly service. Will go back again.
Amazing service, host was so friendly and knowledgeable, great wines, chilled out relaxing wine tasting experience. Highly recommend.
An absolutely wonderful experience. Delicious wines and Jen was a particularly welcoming and knowledgeable host. Very dog friendly as well for those wondering.
The cellar door has a beautiful and secluded outdoor area, nicely shaded and surrounded by greenery with a lovely view of the vines.
I can highly recommend Dog Ridge for anyone looking for great wines (red, white, and fortified) without the crowds.
Took a little bit to find due to maps directions but was well worth it. Beutiful wine, lovely host, excellent setting. Highly recommend.
