Diwali Restaurant reviews
52I have been a regular customer for 2 years plus and thoroughly enjoy the high quality authentic Indian food. The staff are lovely to. I highly recommend Diwali.
Just started going here every Wednesday for around a month. Omg the food and prices are amazing. I go with 1 other person & the bill is only $25 all up every time & we are full every time we leave.
Came here with friends who loved the “All you can eat” which I was hoping to have a little bit of too, I explained I had had Bariatric surgery and most places charge me as a child in all you can eat places, I was happy to pay $13 for a small amount but not $23: 90. They refused so I had to order a whole meal and a whole Nan bread, which is fine I guess as I could take it home but Would have loved to have had one piece of each thing to try everything ️ but not to be. So won’t be back! Nan breads are really nice though!
We ordered online it came up our food was ready got there the bloke seemed nice enough to start the lady on the other hand was rude told us the didn't have the chicken tika and to order something else that was ready so we did they told us none of our food was ready now then when it was tried to charge us for it again a price mind you that was completely different to the price we already paid anyway got home and ate a very average meal from very average people
I couldn't ask for a better and accommodating restaurant, they don't have beef korma on the menu and every single time they will make it up for me to eat.how absolutely lovely of them, they never refused, never point out that it's not on the menu.instead they just take my order and make me delicious food with such a friendly smile. Thank you very much Diwali staff
! DEEP CLEAN BADLY NEEDED!
I have been going there for quite some time. Food is good and reasonably priced. However, my last visit filled me with horror. The floors and the windows were filthy so I hate to think what goes on in the kitchen. It's grubby and uninviting. This was on top of an appallingly long wait for our plates to be taken away, all the while I could hear a shouting match between the 2 people working there. I actually noticed these issues on my last visit some months back and there has been no improvement since. These are basic things a restaurant needs to have in place. Get your act together and smarten up the place.
Every time I order a delivery there is a problem. Although the Samosas are advertised as coming with Tamarind sauce it is never packed with the Samosas. Tonight I made a note on my online order for the Tamarind sauce to be added to the samosas and it was missing again. Ordered online and order processed and paid for, but goat curry not available. Order cancelled without my knowledge. I ordered 3 lots of samosas to substitute for the curry I couldn’t get, and when delivered there was a note inside saying there was only 2 serves of Samosa available so Vegetable Bajas were substituted instead which I don’t like.
The food is very good but always an ordering issue. It restaurant is not conducive to dine in, and self pick up takes just as long as delivery so we get home delivery.
Problems every time.
Food was delicious. Two meals took around 35min to cook and was ready when they said it would be. Not just meat + sauce either, huge chunks of vegetables too
I'm changing my review, I had a problem with home delivery not arriving on time and being delivered to wrong address, however we now order ahead, and pickup ourselves, food has been very good, hot and tasty happy to recommend Diwali once again.
Food was delivered an hour later than advised (2.5 hours after ordering) and was cold. Customer service was terrible.
Made an order worth $62 through DoorDash for delivery, waited an hour an a half to atleast have been connected to a delivery driver, within this time I made almost 10 attempted phone call to the disconnected landline, note to mention the number supplied on DoorDash is incorrect in the first place so I had to seek it through here.
Almost 2 hours after my order was made and accepted by the restaurant, they confirm my order as delivered and help themselves to the money for the food I never actually received.
Do not order online delivery from this place.
Youll be scammed.
One of my favourite places to get indain. Staff are nice and friendly, food takes a normal amount of time to come out and it's also delicious.
There was alittle wait for service tonight as I think they were alittle understaffed and busy which they apologised for.
Only other problems are music can be abit loud and lighting is very low unless they turn on all the lights, which I was thankful they did tonight.
Besides that food is awesome and I do recommend if your looking for some good indain then drop by.
Absolutely amazing food. “The best curries I’ve ever eaten”. The flavours are phenomenal! The staff are very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Best Indian food we’ve ever tasted. 8 of us just had a wonderful meal. Very quick delivery as well.
Delicious food. Lovely service, super busy little restaurant so quite long wait times. On me a bit too though as we didn't book and were a large group. Truly delicious.
Great for takeaway! Food always ready on time and tastes great with traditional flavoursome ingredients.
I adore this place. I've tried a lot of butter chicken in my life but there is something about this one that makes it so special. It's so flavoursome! The chicken is high quality and tender. I also adore this places garlic naan. They are massive and one could easily be split between two people, but I usually keep a whole one for myself. Another favourite of mine is the honey brinjal We mostly get takeout from this place, but have eaten in a few times. The staff are clearly doing their best but it feels very much like a family run business and sometimes that means there are issues with wait times, etc. The dining room is often empty, but there are always loads of people waiting for their takeaway. It's kind of a local hidden gem, and I highly suggest you give it a try if you're looking for some quality Indian food.
Poor quality and service! I ordered chicken 65 and was given chilly chicken with lots of gravy. When I questioned I was told ' this is how we make chicken 65' but on their website it says chicken 65 is deep fried chicken with curry leaves! Very disappointed
So Disappointed with tonight's service
Not only was there no communication on why I was waiting 30+ mins for one single item and noone was evan in the restaurant, but I also walked out empty handed due to bad service. I think you guys need to work you're customer service because it is shocking
Had to call them 3 times to ask where my food was because it was over an hour late and they gave me attitude when I called them. Food was slightly warm at best when it got here, the lamb in my curry was chewy and the delivery driver basically tossed me the food and ran off when it finally got here. Do not even bother with this place
