Distill reviews
34 We had our son's 21st here Saturday night.
Perfect venue.
Great communication for the booking.
Great staff on the night.
Highly recommend for any event.
Had my 21st here and it was awesome. Such a cool vibe, staff were really friendly and helpful. We also hired their venue photographer who was really funny and friendly.
To Steven and the team at Distill, a big thank you for a wonderful 18th birthday function. Right from the outset, your service and willingness to assist was excellent and, to be honest, pleasantly surprising. Not only is the function space perfect for such occasions, you took all the stress away from organising such an event. We were able to enjoy the night watching our son and his friends have a fantastic time. With free venue hire, we felt the cost was very reasonable, particularly when you consider our designated security person and the monitoring of underage patrons. Having great IT infrastructure in place allowed us to display a photo presentation on loop and we were able to play our personal playlists through the venue’s sound system. Had a fantastic night and all we had to do was get home safely. Could not fault it and would encourage anyone looking to hold a stress-free function to consider Distill.
Great place to host an 18th birthday party. Steven was awesome with his assistance in getting everything organised on short notice.
Fabulous, had the best night out for my birthday! Loved the cocktails and the music was awesome
Great atmos, cocktails were spot on
Had a great night
Don’t give this place a miss if in town
Distill hosted my 30th birthday party and I couldn't be happier with their service! Great bartenders, great sound system, great decor. The venue comfortably held 100 guests with many areas for people to sit stand and mingle. Thanks again for a great night team!
Absolutely fantastic establishment through and through!
Never had a bad evening here and with the fringe in full swing, no excuse not to get amongst it!
The new addition of “Simon says” every Saturday night and the fresh cocktails menu is the perfect recipe for a few more bucks for the baby sitter, and don’t get me going on the fresh falafel stand out front!
See you all again soon x
Distill was quite the Rundle Street find on a Saturday night. One of the few places that offers a Friday and Saturday night happy hour from 6-9. $7 house spirits. We sat outside and enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere. The staff were great.
You are just not open enough.
EDIT: Ok yes you deserve more than 1 star for your awesome cocktails.
Extremely unhappy with security we out side for a smoke let him know now I was heading out ask him if I'd be fine to get back up stairs told me I'd be all good then when I got back told me not welcome and that there we 20 people in front of me even though I had booked a table and it was my mates bday
Bar staff were lovely but at 11pm when the night had only just started my night ended quickly in extreme disappointment
Great atmosphere. Awesome Gin inventory. Delicious Mocktails. Allergy friendly, and attentive customer service. I'll be back.)
Very good management even it was my fault I got drinks instead of my fault. Keep it this way guys you are the best
Nowadays is hard to believe a business discriminanates based on race. There are more people commenting issues here. Be aware. They are hostile.
Great cocktails, nice vibe, and the dance scene on the first floor is the best, however I would have loved them to play a combination of Pop and RNB
I went to the toilet and was asked to line up like everyone else which I did. When I asked why they said I should ha e a wrist band and I said ok. A few minutes later a couple of people appeared and tried to jump the line and I asked if they had the wrist band which they didn’t have. The security guard pushed me against the wall and forced me to leave. Simply because I followed their rules. Not fair. Night of 7th of March 2021.
I respect that a private business has the right to refuse entry but refusing entry to people based on their hairstyle is ridiculous
Leaning more to a 3.5 than a 3 stars.
The venue is quite nice though I find that for a place that now claims to specialize in cocktails and heavily advertises them, they had run out of all ingredients to do cocktails by 11.30 (for a venue open till 3am). They also claim they are focusing on whiskey sours for winter (huge signs over their bar) and once again where out of eggs by 10pm.
But the music upstairs was great and the line moved quickly to get up there too, generally clean for a club and staff are quite friendly, just a shame that half the reason you go there isn't available at a reasonable hour, hopefully they take their menus popularity into account soon when getting their stock so they can serve their amazing drink all night long.
Picture: Luckily we got our hands on one of their lovely cocktails, this one is called Marigold and was beautiful!
Had a booking for 20 people two weeks in advanced and they refused entry to 20 people
Suppose to have atleast two hours
They cancelled our booking.

Apparently they have a "no caps" dress code, but it's okay, they'll let you know after you've been there for an hour and spent $100 at the bar.
