16I left my shopping in the cab today, they were items that I really needed for the following day. I tried calling the company but there didn't seem to be anyway of contacting. About an hour later the cab driver arrived with my groceries. Thank you this made my day.
My elderly mother got a cab from Westlands to Heurich Tce last Saturday and was charged $10.50. Less than 2 klm? When she questions the overseas looking driver she was told fuel prices have gone up. Ripping of the elderly is a disgrace.
Been using Des’s cabs nearly every week for 6 months. You get a text to say the driver is approaching and to start heading outside. The drivers are always very polite, greeting you with a lovely smile, put your bags in the boot and then say at the airport “madam have a lovely flight “
The receptionists are very friendly and welcoming
Rang for a cab. Waited for about half an hour and then called to know the update. She was very rude and instead of being apologetic advised me to find another taxi service. Very disappointing.
My husband has just shared a cab home, and has told me the driver did not speak a single word, did not know left from right, and when told to stop at our house the driver stopped in the middle of the road and looked at him. My husband suggested the driver pull over to the left curb to get off the road and the driver put on his handbrake and just looked at him again! When my husband got out of the vehicle, the driver took off aggressively to take the other passenger home. Exactly same thing happened to him.
Zero communication and little understanding of road rules.
Do not get a des taxi. Rude, no patience and no care for any customer. Anyone reading please call suburban taxi
I got a cab home from my work and watch the meter to make sure, I had the the correct change. Total was 7.10.
He tried to scam me saving I owed him 10, when I clearly watched the meter.
I catch cab to and from work before and never paid any more then 7.50 Max for my rides.
Be careful of this scamming driver.
Ps I only paid 7.10 no way he was scamming me.
It said 13: 30 in that tablet thing I bad 15: 90 what the and don’t say taxi fee because it’s like 5;30 when u get in the car what the heck
It can be a good company but some days you are waiting wat too long. Not enough communication. Put on more disability taxis they are always in demand and you sometimes have to wait over an hour
I have mixed reviews on this company but compared to the other company in Whyallait beats and hands down wouldn't use the new White cabs whatsoever
I was running around for days wearing a mask during covid state lockdown, here there and everywhere, on Saturday morning went to local deli topz shopz, owner said where's your mask. DOH. I realized it was so early, I hurried out of the house to miss the early crowd. I left it at home. I told the owner I would go home and get a mask and return. Just at that moment Des's cab taxi arrived. I pointed to my face, walking away from driver and said I forgot my mask. He asked me if I wanted a mask. Yes please, problem solved. I thanked the driver. Saved the
Day. So to you Des's cabs and the driver Kym, I say thank you for the great customer service and the service you provide whyalla community and all of South Australia. Keep up the good work everyone. Wishing you all the best.
Not happy getting overtaken by a speeding van & then cut off coming out of Westland roundabout
The taxi was 25 min late for an airport pickup despite having booked the night before. My husband had a theatre full of medical staff waiting for him to come and operate because the taxi was late from airport pickup (he is a surgeon). They didn't even send a message or call to let him know that it would be late. Terrible service Des's Cabs Whyalla.
Ring at 7.02 for taxi 7.16 message sent saying taxi approaching. 7.23 no taxi so i ring and rude operator states approaching only means it sent 7.43 still no taxi ring back operators says i gave wrong address bws westlands there's only one so again waited till 7.57 and ring back operators states not sending a taxi and hangs up i ring back he hangs up again i ring back again and a female answers and she is as rude as the male i ask to speak to person in charge she tell me no one here till tues and hangs up so im left to walk with my shopping unfortunately 1 star is the lowest i can score them and that is one to many whyalla need uber
Great service and very friendly staff. The town would be lost without the public transport their public transport.
