I have explored quite a few chicken shops in the area. I have stuck with Dean's for many years.
Very friendly family run business.
Pricing is great, they apologise for putting up price but even their upped price is still cheaper than competitors.
Always friendly.

Yiros was dry not enough garlic sauce, spent about 30 minutes waiting when only 1 other person had ordered, bought drinks and they were warm and flat

The owner is extremely rude. He also claims that the chips are gluten free despite frying them in the same oil as gluten foods and occasionally changing the chips he uses to non-gluten free. There’s a sign on the window stating “gluten free chips” this shouldn’t be allowed and is super misleading.

Unfortunately, the worst 2 pieces of fish I've ever had
•butterfish was dry and so tuff looked like a leftover from earlier that day.
• Flake was as dry as the butterfish batter was burnt same as the above.
Like to think this was a once-off their seafood salad is very good.
Overall experience properly won't go back again.

Great little takeaway with the usual deep fried goods, chips (of the big and crunchy variety), burgers and roast chooks. Our orders have been well cooked, well seasoned and moderately priced everytime.

Great chips & burgers and very reasonable prices. Why bother with Maccas or HJs when you can get better food here, for less!

I love Dean's chicken packs. Always much more than I can eat so I get two meals. He is also polite and well priced

Best chicken shop in hope valley, great value, large portion sizes and the best hamburger ive had from a chicken shop! Love the hamburgers!

Terrible chips. I ate less than half of a small serve. It was as if they had been recooked two or three times.

Purchased chips and a burger. The chips had no salt and tasted like old oil. The burger had a thin tasteless meat patty in it and was soggy. Won't be returning here.
