Dawn Patrol Coffee reviews
41No, to the type of milk we needed. So we left disappointed. Can't comment on the coffee.
Best coffee on the peninsula. It’s a must to stop and have a shot. Great access and parking.
Fantastic beans, consistent selections along with seasonal variations. Love the sustainable tins that have a new life in the shed. Very good value and fast shipping to east coast. Looking forward to visiting SA soon to try their inhouse coffee!
Coffee beans are good! But service is terrible 0/5!
I agree with other reviewers who said that they have the worst service ever! The girl works there don’t know how to smile and communicate!
1 star is generous, would give 0 if possible.went to the CBD shop and had the worst service I’ve ever had, the girl couldn’t crack a smile and frowned at multiple people.she forgot one the coffees I had ordered and then after clarifying proceeded to burn all 3 of them, bitter as hell.wouldn’t recommend to anyone, would prefer a coffee from Coles next time!
Great new spot in McLaren Vale, coffee came out fast and looked great. We went after lunch one day, would be great if there was some options for wine/beer too. Would go again if I was in the area. Worth a visit if you are a coffee person even though it’s not in the most central location.
Need to update opening hours, last 3 times I've been to get coffee it was closed when it was supposed to be open.
In response to the owner. I called past at 9: 30ish this morning, the sign on the door said closed, it was not lit up. I drove past other coffee to get here on my way for a morning walk in the forest, and hoping to purchase overpriced but decent quality beans as I had forgotten to order some from coffee cartel roasters, was disappointed as it was my last opportunity to get a coffee on the way. Apologies if you were open but still get one star as it said closed and looked closed so maybe up your effort.
Previously I couldn't tell you a date sorry I don't keep a dairy, I was in the truck probably at around 8: 30 - 9 on my way to a job at Kangarilla 2 mornings in a row. Maybe it was the same story, not my problem if you can't be bothered turning the sign around.
Very impressed with the friendly staff, huge portions of the desserts, unique blends of coffee and the environment, for sure a 5 star when they expand a bit must try very pleased
Beautiful coffee set in an industrial style shed next to some of the best Shiraz wine makers in the country. They even offer curated coffee tastings. Coffee was on the pricey side $11 for 2 coffees.
Whilst staying in McLaren Vale, we decided to take a 2.5km walk in the morning to some good coffee. We each ordered a cappuccino, not specifying which beans we’d like and were each served a different bean. Both coffees were fantastic. The venue was really cool (inside a container) but a little spoilt by the amount of flies.
Great coffee, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Excellent spot to stop by for that afternoon caffeine hit. Only call out is that didn’t have much in the way of sweet breads/ cakes.
Had a cappuccino: One of the few places that have really great coffee extraction, and well-frothed milk! Really appreciate the barista's calibration effort.
The indoor venue doesn't have any fan though so it was stuffy and rather uncomfortable to sit for long in the afternoon summer heat.
Well folks, Dawn patrol is back open and moved shop down to Mclaren vale and it’s damn good to have them back with their incomprehensibly good coffee and their cool warehouse/shed vibes. I love this place and I absolutely love their coffee. If yo I haven’t been here yet do it because they are coffee champions. They also have some food available which is cool!
Cafe review, Great coffee but oat milk only alternative, no almond milk? Literally coffee only, no sweet treats to go with it not even a biscuit. Prompt and efficient service, a smile would not go astray. The space is architecturally beautiful with a scenic outlook and is shared with Watkins winery.
(Review of roastery, not café/tasting room!)
On first visit to the Dawn Patrol roastery to pick up some fresh espresso machines it is easy to be overwhelmed by the number of options. Thankfully the staff were extremely helpful. By asking a series of questions about my coffee drinking preferences and habits they recommended me with the perfect blend (after providing me a sample shot of course!) I have visited many local roasters and confidently rate Dawn Patrol as up there with the very best.
I enjoy the atmosphere here during the week and on weekends. I love how you have moved closer to the city. Thank you for amazing freshly roasted beans and lovely coffee.
Great place to go for a quality coffee. Friendly staff and great rotating food options.
Always a good time had
Coffee was good but only in standard cup (no mugs). Very limited food to have with coffee. Ambience was good but our table wasn't clean. Given COVID the expectation is tables are wiped and disinfected after each customer.
Friendly staff and amazing coffee experience. The guys make you feel like you’re visiting a friend. Definitely worth the long drive.
The coffee tasting experience is just on Sundays.
Dawn Patrol's single origin double shot short black & lemon meringue kicked my sunday into top gear.
The staff were super friendly and put up with all our diva requests. Thanks ladies
