Davis nearly ruined my wedding day by making a tacky, poorly designed and unfinished dress that was unwearable. He is not capable of designing curtains, let alone bespoke, designer wedding gowns.
Davis is disorganised, rude at times and insensitive. He didn't listen to me even when I came to him with clear design choices and photographs of what I was after. I wanted a one if a kind, unique wedding dress that reflected my personality. Instead, I was given a scrappy dress made from pieces of overworked silk covered in stains of coffee, chocolate and Davis' sweat. I was disgusted with the lack of service that a so called designer delivered and I had no option but to buy an off the rack wedding dress three days before my wedding. Davis was then difficult again when we approached him for a refund and only ever returned 1/3 of what the dress cost. The whole experience was absolutely horrific and he has put me off of ever having a dress made again.

It has also been interesting to see some of the other 1 star reviews here and that he 'lost interest' in other projects as well, as that's exactly what happened to me and the language he used when we approached him for a refund. He cancelled so many of my appointments, often 30 minutes prior to our appointment and that is also reflected in other individual's reviews. There is a clear pattern. His rudeness and attitude is also clearly visible in his responses to reviews, instead of simply and humbly taking accountability for his work.

I have added several photographs of my 'one of a kind bespoke dress' so everyone that views the reviews can make their own mind up about the standard of the product.

I had a horrible experience with Davis. I took a pair of trousers to him to be altered which were then made too small. I asked for him to fix the pants and then he decided to instead ignore my calls and texts. I paid upfront for the job and he kept both my pants and the cash. When he eventually responded (after 8 months of requesting my pants back, finally saying I would contact the authorities if he ignored me) he was incredibly disrespectful and rude, telling me that he “lost interest” in the job and that if he could be bothered he would post me the trousers.they never arrived. Don’t waste your time with this man’s business and certainly don’t count on him for a quality service.

Absolutely appalled at service and quality of work. Rude, dress was unfinished and could not wear it, ruined my day. Will take money and run. Buyer beware. Not even worth the 1 star.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of service. Once i had paid in full, Davis cancelled and postponed several appointments, and ignored emails and text messages. He took my money and then lost interest. After four months, i had not received anything from him and was forced to look elsewhere for a dress (with not enough time to order from the majority of bridal stores who generally require 6-9 months).

Absolutely unique experience! Personally requested tailoring for suit jacket and shirt which was returned in flawless quality and precision, have recommended a number of friends and family to have one-off and elegant designs brought to life. Worth a contact for brides, grooms, performers, special occasions, tailoring. Absolute hidden gem!

Davis and his team fixed up my wedding dress on very short notice and did a wonderful job. It looks just perfect.

Davis Browne is amazing at what he does, he is very thorough and wants you to have the perfect piece before you walk out of his shop! He has made me comfortable, welcome and he is friendly. He is amazing at what he does and i can't fault him in anyway! I highly recommend Davis. Thankyou

Ripoff, doesnt finish jobs and dresses are made poorly. Take money and never finishes jobs. Buyer beware

I cannot thank Davis enough for the incredibly clever and creative work he did on my beautiful evening gown. Wow what a gorgeous talented man, thank you Davis.

From my first appointment Davis made me feel at home in his studio. I didn’t know what I wanted and Davis helped guide me in the right direction without being pushy. In true bride fashion, I changed my mind a few times and Davis was always accommodating. He created my dress with love and care. The end result was truly amazing. I absolutely loved my dress and I loved working with Davis.

I thought designers like Davis were only overseas or in the movies; turns out we have him right here in Bowden! First Class & charming to boot! My best friend was an absolute vision on her wedding day. I was actually a little jealous! ;)
