Shopping for Mimco jewellery, could not get any service, finally spoke with a person from the coach handbag counter, she tried to get staff who could open the mimco counter, we were told all staff were busy and there was no one to serve the Mimco jewellery department. No necklace and ring for my daughter could be purchased, disappointed with the lack and poor service. Will not return to this store. Going to shop online for these items, I try to support local shops but if the service is not available not much else I can do

Was shopping for a gift for my partner, and was rudely told to move by staff and another customer when i was selecting an item of clothing from the rack. No apology. I felt like i was judged for being male and because i was male in the women's section, and i wasn't wearing an Armani suit. Very disapointed.

Just went in to to DJs to get an instax printer in the last 30minutes of opening and got great customer service. Shout out to the guy with curly hair who upcycled an old set of film he had and wasn’t gonna be using - you’re a legend!

Nicely laid out with a large range of women's fashion. The staff in the jewellery section were very helpful

I found the service by a couple of the staff members to be very rude and blunt, and felt as though I was inconveniencing them for asking questions. It wasn’t busy. I don’t normally write negative reviews but this was not the type of experience I expected from a company that sells such high end products. I was willing to spend just over $100 on products but decided to spend it elsewhere, and received the service I was looking for

Have always loved David Jones. Live in the country now so not often there. My octogenarian parents took me down to the lower ground floor for lunch today as I was visiting them over Easter. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.

Outrageous prices, $495 for a jumper reduced from $595, call that a bargain? Lots of strange styles.

I wanted/needed a very specific tote bag as a gift that showed as being in stock online. A search around by the lovely Marea couldnt locate it. A quite stock search had her checking the basement. She enlisted the help of Matt and another lady to leave no display or stock holding area unchecked and found the bag for me. It took a while but the wait was worth it. Could not complain about the service with three staff helping me.

Bought a gift voucher online to send to family member for a birthday received an email on the day of the birthday saying they couldn’t complete the order. Rang and complained and was given no reason as to why the order couldn’t be completed and said a refund had been processed, the money is not back in my bank account yet, not happy Jan

Oh how the mighty have fallen.private labels and no service.though the odd old staff members still are as amazing as always.

I love David Jones in Adelaide - they have the best selection of cosmetics, clothing, accessories and specialised food. For a top shop, their prices are competitive and customer service is top notch. Have only praise for the department store and the shopping experience, I could browse in the store for hours.

Had a good shopping experience. The sales are on and funnily enough found most of the things I was looking for.

Ok, everyone knows the DJ's is a very nice (and expensive) store, selling some very nice (and expensive) stuff.
But have you ever visited the restrooms? I can't vouch for the men's, but the ladies is divine!
Note first that they're called "restrooms", not toilets. There's a difference, and you'll understand as soon as you step inside.
The ladies is decorated in a lovely relaxing pink hue.
There's an actual shelf to put your bag& stuff on, so you don't need to put it on the floor.
Plenty of clean and we'll maintained facilities.
Handy full length mirror to check your look.
And then there's the lounge area.
A comfy sofa and a couple of chairs, and an area where you can sit and touch up your makeup, without the bother of people trying to wash their hands right next to you.
Take a few minutes extra to just rest, regroup, and get ready for the next round of bargain shopping.
Do yourself a favour and visit.

Today I had the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Francesca in beauty on the ground floor of the Adelaide city store I hope your bosses see this and reward what an awesome employee they have in their midst. Thank you today you made my day!

Terrible customer service from Heather and the “manager” Julie Anne. Bought a pair of $160 shoes not long ago and have worn them around the house just to get told I am not allowed to receive a refund or exchange because they are black on the soles. Excuse me, last time I checked floors are not clean and will dirty white soles. In conclusion, I will not be shopping at David Jones Adelaide ever again. I hope it was worth not doing a tiny refund even though you guys are such a big company. Apparently customer service/ satisfaction isn’t as important as making money.

Did the Santa’s magic cave experience, team are lovely but didn’t think it was worth it. The photo wasn’t great could have done better myself at home. The magic cave I have been told has gone down hill a fair bit. Save your money and create something yourself.

Very friendly staff and a lot of different variety things, great for buying gifts at this time of year

We went looking for old fashioned arm sleeve bands. The only place that had any and they only had a couple sets. The young man that served us went above and beyond to help. I think he asked everyone else not only in the suit section but the entire floor and probably done 5 laps around the entire level until he found them. All this for a $12 item. Well done young man and Thank you.
