51Always a great clean store full of branded merchandise. They are a top end type of store, but money is all relative, and they serve a unique customer demographic.
Was at West lakes shopping centre today. Really nice centre easy to find park, centre had everything and it was very clean and organised. I was impressed because the shops we went David Jones, Serafinas chemists n more were all well stocked and very neat and clean. Well done West Lakes I will come again
Had a very bad experience. As per the David Jones price promise policy, I went there to get a product price matched with another Australian online website. First time they said they won’t price match with any online websites. Then when I showed them their page of price promise policy, then they were getting loud and telling me that they will match with prices of other stores websites and will not match my price. The conditions are soo misleading in your website and the staff wasn’t friendly at all. Will never go back.
Excellent customer service on the men's department (Diana - I think). She was very helpful & friendly.
The level of customer service and care that Jean from the shoes area me this evening was exceptional. She went above and beyond to help me choose shoes and other accessories and was so personable. Such staff are a credit to David Jones.
At times DJ's is the "only resort" to rely on for those items that "are not around for a long time, just a good time" in the main "Discount Prices/Lowest Price/No Interest for 1st 6 mnths type of stores (shall remain nameless). Comes a time when "cost" is really no object when one really does just have to have it, like half decent size G bras.
Staff member in appliances was absolutely outstanding, DJ s at West Lakes has certainly impressed me today.

Where are the sales people?
In the areas you need them they are no where to be seen!
If you dont get glared at when you enter and your lucky enough for the upitty makeup and fragrance staff to be gasbagging (as they were last time we visited) you find yourself walking around with clithes and no sales person.
I assume they will all be online soon as the rental space wont be paying for itself when no one can purchase due to staff avoidance. Sad considering David Jones was awesome years ago.
Unfortunately like most businesses, skeleton staff ruins the shopping experience when there's no one around for customer service!

The automated voice service is rubbish, i say i want to speak to someone and they put me thru to the direct number. They can't even put me thru to a suburban store im trying to get in contact with. Im left waiting, waiting.and waiting! Aaarh

Went to purchase something from the Jurlique counter and the "lady" in her 60s with mid length brown hair was so rude. Completely and utterly disgusted we walked out. Sorry Jurlique, I love your products but your sales will be low with that "lady" serving.
Was looking for a after 5 dress - nothing there - so disappointed - they use to have lots of nice dresses however not now
Went to purchase some perfume, was overwhelmed and confused with what to purchase, I asked if I could have some samples, We dont do Samples, was a bit abrupt not helpful at all. Maybe the samples are kept for the workers. I decided I'd spend my noney elsewhere.
I was shopping with a friend in the makeup department the the lady who served us was so nice and Very helpful
Over priced items. Not a huge variey of sizes to choose from. Staff friendly and helpful. Quality of items ok, majority still made in China. Needs to support more Australian made and owned products
Very good service from Annie at West lakes David jones she understood, was helpful, calm and very friendly. She helped me pick the perfect bra and the right size needed.
Went there first time. Was assisted by Maria who helped me purchase my dyson hair dryer. Great service
Have managed to fit a lot into their downsized store but done it quite well. Good selections throughout. Always clean n tidy.
