I’ve been eating Darlin’ Dal since March 2020. The first time I tried it I felt it reach into my body offering deep levels of nourishment. It is a multi layered food that nurtures the spirit and soul, mind and body and always seems to settle and calm me emotionally. It satiates me like no other food. I love all the Dal flavours and I feel and trust how my body chooses what it needs every time I’m looking at the freezer deciding what to take home with me. I keep returning to my first love ‘coconut coriander snap crackle pop’! (Yes…They all have a personality, it’s a fun trip meeting them). I’ve loved the journey and time it’s taken to learn about Darlin Dal, to get to know them all slowly and experience the medicinal and gut healing properties they offer. My energy levels and sense of vitality improves when I’m eating Darlin’ Dal regularly. It’s a life giving regenerative food experience. Thank you so much Jo for bringing this ancient food to us in the ways that you do.

My husband, my 8 year old son and myself absolutely loved our Dal and meeting Jo! The first time I spoke to Jo was over the phone about meditation, I then went in to meet her about a month later and she hadn’t forgotten our phone call. It was like seeing an old friend. Jo gave me so much advice and we are looking forward to going back for more beautiful food on the weekend?

I walked into Darlin Dal with an old friend the other day and was instantly embraced by the smell of warm spices, lovely people and an energy that made me feel like I had been there a thousand times before. The food itself was divine and we could not only feel Jo's love for what she does but we could smell and taste it in the nourishing, healthy and heartwarming food. If you are looking for a place to eat that leaves you feeling better than when you walked in, look no further. This is a hidden gem i will undoubtedly be visiting time and time again!

There are very few people like Joanne in this world. She is an incredible human who is creating the highest quality ‘take away’ food I’ve ever seen. My digestion and gut health has improved dramatically since eating her Dal. That’s why I’ve been a return customer for 5 years, along with coming in for Jo and her magnetic energy that makes you feel so good about life.
