d'Arenberg reviews
64Kim provided exceptional service, making our tasting experience truly memorable. Exquisite, with a perfect balance of flavors, the wine selection was top-notch. Kim's knowledge and passion for the wines added an extra touch to the evening. I highly recommend dining at d'Arry's Verandah and experiencing Kim's exceptional service firsthand!
Kim at d'Arenberg was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their wines. She took the time to guide our group through a tasting, sharing interesting stories and insights about each wine. It truly enhanced the experience and made me appreciate the wines even more! Will come back for her especially!
Very disappointed in the tasting experience today the girl totally rushed us through and wasn’t open to being asked questions and couldn’t speak English well
Today I visited d‘Arenberg for two reasons: good wine and outstanding art. Needless to say that my expectations were satisfied beyond the ordinary. Thank you Kim for explaining me every single wine and sharing the stories about the area and the owner.
The art gallery by Dali is superb. What a genius.
Not worth the hype at all! The best part of it was the Dali sculpture at the front. Very impersonal, automated experience, the exact opposite of everything the region represents. Amy at the tasting floor was very rude and sarcastic which made the whole experience totally unnecessary! There are many many better welcoming wineries with genuinely kind staff that contribute to the serene, calm vibe of the region. Avoid it at all costs!
Very iconic winery in the McLaren vale. Very quirky interior too. Entrance to the cube costs around $15 however this does include wine tasting too. Surrounding grounds are quite pretty too.
Great experience visiting the Cube. The art exhibition in level 2 is definitely worthwhile to visit. The wine tasting experience on level 4 is interesting. We enjoyed the lunch so much at the D'Arenburg veranda restaurant. The food and service were amazing. It locates next to the Cube. We had so many fine dining experience in the past. I would rate the food there on the top notch. No hesitation to recommend 3 course meal. The lobster entree and Souffle signature desert are the must try dishes.
Hmm. Not sure what to say.
I visited based on reviews and recommendations of others.
As a winery, great. It is obviously very popular.likely due to the cube design of the main building, which is truly worth a look.
From the start, we found the art displays rather dark and / or erotic in theme. I am certainly not prudish, but could not connect the art to the winery theme. Maybe it's just me.
The four floors are cramped.with stuff. The tasting floor balconies do provide nice views of the surrounding vineyards.
All in all, it's worth a visit.if for no more than to make your own assessment. I've given a 4 star rating; two stars for it's place as a winery, and two stars for it's unique quirkiness.
Interesing cellar door with Salvatore Dali art museum. The wine is good and easy to drink. The museum adds a fun quirky touch. It’s a fun place to visit as a tourist. Book ahead of you want to do a tasting or dine in their restaurant. Your tasting is not at a set time, you can show up around the time you booked.
The ‘Blend your own Shiraz’ experience is a must! My partner and I were lucky enough to be the only ones who booked our session. And even luckier to have the fun and informative Kim. She was such a hoot! Really did make it such a memorable experience. Especially for a couple who love their wine but aren’t wine snobs - so it’s a great way to introduce anyone to reds and how to truly appreciate them. We then stumbled over to the blending bench and had the hilarious Hugo. Such a riot! Followed by Kim again to finish! What a great day… can’t wait for a year from now to try our personalised Shiraz’s “the Renfield” and the “I’m not a cluts”. Thank you again Kim and Hugo! Fantastic day!
$10 entry. Flat white was a cappuccino with all the foam and you don’t have skinny milk in the cafe. Lift your game
Great experience with wine tasting! Beautiful view all around, lots of sculptures, interesting museum and 4th floor wine tasting room with vine Yard view.
You should go to toilet there
Amazing architecture, beautiful views.
The art inside are astonishing including the 360 movies.
Worth spending $25 for the ticket.
I loved each and every pieces of art and the whole cube.
Definitely worth a visit for the eclectic art which is ‘out of the box’, stunning views, delish lunch and the wines are not too bad either!
A building with a very unique architecture.
The exhibition and the wine tasting on the top floor was amazing for $15. Thank you Amir for all your knowledge and for taking care of us!
Also… Don’t miss to go the toilets there! That’s an experience itself
I was told to visit this Vineyard, but it was really underwhelming for me. The wine wasn't as nice (to me) compared to other vineyards nearby.
The exhibition was unique and strange at times.
Really enjoyed the Dali exhibition followed by a tasty lunch in the restaurant, reasonably priced with great views while dining.
Bought the tickets for museum and wine tasting, super affordable only 15 bucks per person. Museum was very intriguing, there's a surprise at every corner. Tells the history of wine making in the region. Wine tasting is on the fourth flour with a lookout of the winery. Amazing view as you try your wine. There is also an exhibition for Salvador Dali's works but we could not find time to go
Amazing place, was very interesting and ejoyed stay. Wines are one of the best. Staff were great and accommodating.
The building is in the shape of Rubik’s cube and it’s full of fun day inside. The exhibit and the wine tasting on the top floor is exquisite.
Don’t miss to go the toilets there.
