Clean, team members are always helpful & acknowledge when instore, there's always trollies to use

Nice, dedicated staff. Thankful for security guard presence as a few dodgy customers. Good selection of drinks, as with most/all Dan Murphys. Membership card gave discounts on most products bought.

Now I came to realize that customer service or customer service follow up is non existent at Dan Murphy's. Following a dispute regarding pricing of an item, I left the store in disgust as the shop assistant was adamant they were right. When a price is indicated on the shelf for that item, I am led to believe that's the price. At the cash register it indicated to be more expensive and the shelf price was conditional to joining or being a club member, however the shelf price was the only price indicated! By law an item must be sold at the displayed price. Shop assistant refused to acknowledge that, and told that I must become a member to get that item at that price.
I felt like a bit of commercial blackmail was being used so I politely declined and walked out of the store. I tried getting the number of the store to complain to the manager. Dan Murphy's has a general 1800 number with a pre-recorded message and only way talk to someone is to go online & do a chat. Can you believe a mega organization like Dan Murphy's does not answer the phone! So how does one communicate with them if you have problem? Getting back to my pricing issue, I checked online and the price of the item was the same and it did not stipulate any conditions.
I think I'll put in a complaint with the retail authority because it's very unfair and misleading of Dan Murphy's to be conducting business like that.

Great selection and choice of drinks [bottles, cans etc] at competetive rates with extra discounts for members. I frequently receive member discounts. Staff are helpful & keep enough checkouts open to maintain reasonable flow. Large car park with many spaces at Norwood DM although sometimes most are filled.
Raincheck option would be awesome!

Not a bad Dans, can usually find a park and most items in stock, but they are all better than the Marden store.

I am disabled and use a cane to mobilize. My wife and I were in the walk in fridge when an obvious junkie did his best to upset us. He continued with verbal threats in front of the "manager". I urged her to check the camera's, which went ignored. Still attempting to prove my innocence I was escorted out like I'd done something wrong too. As I left the "manager" finally asked what happened. She was told the exact same story by my wife as I just outlined which fell on deaf ears. I am and will always remain a respectable gentleman, such a shame this place decided to treat me otherwise. Beware Dan's and the junkies of Norwood. Never had this in my local Port Adel. Shame.
Pps, keep your docket to prove dan isn't the cheapest. Yeah it upsets the cashier's to mark it down, but they shouldn't claim to be the cheapest when my local Wes lak cells beats them by $1.50 on a Coops green roadie single, being every day price @ $3 opposed to $4.5 @ Dan's.

Don't pay much much extra for bad service.

Always have what I want at a decent price. Staff- particularly at Norwood - are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

A very busy area, but we able to fine a park and bought reasonable amount of wine and expensive famous kind. Everything you think of is there. Staff are fantastic.

Excellent range of wines, and very knowledgeable wine experts always available to recommend a wine.

Great selection, BUT! They didn't have Knappouge Castle Irish Whisky? I'll have 2 deal with Bushmills 10yr old Whisky.

Sadly, I feel I experienced discrimination and humiliation at this shop. Yesterday I came by this shop just like the other regular day (three years customer at this shore). However, I was shocked that the new female cashier refused the service straight away. At beginning, I thought that she might misjudge due to my mask and glasses still on (so basically she can only see my forehead). Hence I tried to explain to her that I have their membership card (which proved your age when you applied it) and tried to show my ID through the phone (offical digital documents) and my face politely (meanwhile I also inform I am 35 years old, nearly doubled qualified the legal age of drinking alcohol). But she didn’t even take a second to check my face or listen my explanation. She only repeated that she would only serve when I have my ID.
Then, my partner (he is nearly 40 years old) came to the shop and tried to help purchasing these wines for us by showing his ID instead, then they still refused the service because I don’t have ID.this is ridiculous that how they can reject the service immediately even without seeing customers’ face or any quality conversation? Wondering what is the standard of asking people ID here? Even till the end of conversation, they still haven’t see my face or check my partner ID, they just keep repeating, they would only serve us when I have my ID.
After this horrible experience, I feel that to have a Dan Murphy membership is totally a scam, I rather go somewhere to get better customer service but not treated as a criminal here. Just think logically please, what do they think we 35-40 years old couple want these “two bottle of wines” for? Hope this shop will provide some decent training for their new staffs about how to respect their customers. Tips for Asian customers, if you have a nice forehead skin, make sure to demonstrate your grey hair with ID, just in case the lucky picks.

Great service with all staff if they are near you or see you "looking" ask if you need assistance.
When I have asked a question it has never been too hard, even going to the computer to find if a item is available.
Stock always in order.

I came specifically for craft beers and I was not disaapointed, loads of choice and loads already in the fridges.

One of the only places I can find Cachaca so I make me some Caipirinias.

7 days a week with extended hours.
I like to try different world wines especially Italian, Spanish and French varieties that are available at great prices
Access to Langtons aged wines as well as high end French if you want to splurge on a special occasion
Not a big range of local SA wines which are my preferred drop that I get elsewhere

Massive shout out to Andrew who was such a huge help to me this week. I wandered in with a huge & unintelligible list of European wines I needed for a wine course & Andrew spend about an hour with me helping me to interpret the labels to find what I needed. I couldn't have done it without him. Thanks so much, made my day. Cath

I really rate this place, good range of everything I'm after. Stock prancing pony and other good quality craft beers, good gin selection and always had friendly helpful staff.

Terrible experience ，the young staff really need be trained correctly and they should know RESPECT their customers.

Really impressed with the service. I went there this morning and on my way out my 4 pack handle broke just outside the front door and one of the bottles smashed on the ground. A man that worked there came out straight away and cleaned it up. He then proceeded to get me another pack free of charge. It’s been such a stressful time of year, and to have him show me that kindness really meant a lot. Could not recommend more.

Wide range of alcohol, however, despite the staff being really friendly, it took a while to find an order I'd placed through eBay with the click-and-collect option set to the Norwood store.

At the time I went, parking was rather limited and the only available spots were reserved for the hotel/bar next to Dan Murphy's.
