Dan Murphy's Gawler

Came into Dan Murphys with my sisters since it was too hot to sit in a car without air conditioning. Stood at the front of the shop the whole time so they knew I wasn’t buying anything but my sisters were denied service. Even though there were multiple families in there with with kids and they were served. Safe to say we are never going there again. Thanks for nothing you just lost a big sale anyway. If I could do zero stars you’d be getting that.

Did not know that Uncle Dan had purchased a church.
Brilliant idea. I left a donation for the sacrament now offered in bottles.

Everyone needs a local Dan's and they have awesome staff in this one. Selections a bit short on craft beers due the size of the premises but there about the only shortfall. Thank you Uncle Dan.

Yes like all Dan's huge range competitive pricing clean tidy ground level this store can get very busy parking is a bit tight staff always helpful

Im from Germany and they wouldn't sell me anything because I have a international ID card. I've never had any problems before with buying stuff so I think they are a little bit racist. And the Thirsty Camel has a better price on there stuff.
I am very disappointed

One of the best Dan Murphy's locations I've ever been to, with a great selection of the normal codes but also one of the best wine selections you'll find anywhere. Love this place.

Good supply of grog if you walk in. Nice surroundings ample parking. Join up and buy their specials.

Staff were friendly on entering and helpful with a couple of questions about products. Music playing, enjoyed out short shop. A young man approached us and asked if we need help, we politely declined and whilst looking at his watch, he responded "the store closes in ten minutes, " basically felt like we were getting kicked out.

Went in today with my nearly 24 year old friend from the UK who is on holiday with us. I had just spent $175 and my friend was next in line with some cider and baileys. They asked for ID which is absolutely fine.
She provided 3 different types of ID-which were all refused including photo of passport. All were declined as they wanted physical passport or aussie license which obviously she did not have as from Uk. I was as not allowed to buy either (even though I had a trolley full of alcohol I had just bought) if my aim was to buy alcohol for somebody under-age I think I had enough already lol.

Yes this is a great place to buy unusual wines & beers & of course the service is excellent

Absolutely terrible experience. Got treated Terrable as soon as I walked in with myself and 18 year old sister.demanded ID's as soon as we walked in, already judgingus. Was rude telling us to put it back and said were not going to serve you. And giving us disgusting looks. While there was two other adults with children there so.
Did not even make it to the checkout and they demaded we put there alcohol back.

Very disappointing.

Waiting in carport for click and collect deliver to boot for 10mins plus.
Not the first time either.
Service getting worse

Humongous store. Went to pick up order, never seen so much alcohol in one place other than at a winery!

What a great selection! The Penfolds room is mouth watering! A fantastic selection of SA wines in regions plus everything you'd expect from Dan.

Its a decent stocked Dan's. Items here that I can't find in several other Dan's stores.

Good selection of wines and other beverages. The red section is the old church and looks pretty cool.

My to go place for liquor, has everything you could possibly need, even found what I was looking for within my budget, so great prices too.

Good range of product but on the smaller side compared to other stores. Nice ambience utilising an old church where the main tasting bar resides. Downside is the car park, one of the worst for this franchise. Best to park off site during busy periods (5 pm onwards) and lead up to public holidays.

I had a query about cognac, a staff member was so helpful. Thanks, it made a lovely valentines day gift.

Great service, lots of different bottles to choose from. Prices are good, lots of specials. Good to grab a few bottles for a party. Plenty of parking, staff - not a lot around to chat with but otherwise a great shopping experience
