A party of 13 celebrated a 100th birthday at the Admirals Bistro recently. I highly recommend this venue for its ambience and the food was amazing, everyone present loved their meal. Orlando was amazing right from first contact to the end of the celebration, thank you so much for your friendly and professional assistance. Thank you also to Bridget. Definitely recommend this venue.

I recently had a function at the CYCSA and I cannot rate Orlando and his team high enough. The food was outstanding, with all guests commenting on how delicious everything was, and the service together with how easy it was to communicate with Orlando was amazing. The day couldn't have gone any better and we'll be back for future functions or even just for lunch!

Visited in September. Disappointing for price, venue becoming more generic losing atmosphere. Meals rushed and not cooked well. We were looking forward to eating here as we had heard great reviews and love our seafood.but unfortunately did not live up to expectation.

Last Sunday (12th March) we attended a lunch in the function room. The food was extremely disappointing. My Chicken Parmiagana was barely warm, and I had to ask for it to be heated up. The sauce on top was dry, because there was cheese on only half of the top. My husband's Beef Skewers were also luke-warm. They were "well done", even though the menu stated they would be cooked "medium". The Chef's Salad was a shredded mixture of green and coloured leaves, with no cucumber or tomato to be seen. Three people at or near our table had fish as all or part of their main course, and they all said that the fish tasted awful. Possibly frozen, as it didn't taste fresh. Although the staff were excellent, the quality of the food was poor, especially considering the prices charged. Would not recommend this place at all.

Anzac Day. My Birthday. April 25th 2022. Cekebration. NOT!
Each person orders all their courses at
counter.
However. Starters n entrees came tgether. As wed Waited
Sooooo long for starters t arrive.to have with drinks. Tho id requested pacing the courses to 2 staff!
Some meals good. Others hit n big miss.
Courses bit rushed. Staff seemed grumpy
Had to repeat myself to 1 staff about pacing request.as my response to starters n entrees arriving veeery late together, wasnt being heard! Iz bit surprised as this was 1 of 2 staff id conveyed. Then eventually i was understood. With these starters n entrees coming tgether. I was wanting the issue of th mistake acknowledged at least and was expressing this.it wasnt. Then Eventually
the young lady offered to return them. Of which i declined.th meals were there n ready.and time had long passed.and needed to get on celebrate my birthday. No charge f cakeage. Great!
Unfortunate.hard to understand this slip up.
Not the 1st issue unfortunately

Beautiful Christmas Lunch. Extensive menu to cater to everyone’s taste. Food was delish and ample servings. Staff friendly and accommodating. Beautiful setting overlooking the boats and yachts. Prices ranging from $18 to $48. Platters for sharing including crayfish are around $140 to $160. Great ice cream station and looked like really old fashion ice cream.

We’ve been coming here for years, it’s beautiful to sit out by the water and have a meal and a drink.

Unfortunately the menu seems to have changed recently with increased prices and much poorer quality. Chips were soggy and cooked in what appears to be very old oil and schnitzel wasn’t crispy at all.

My favourite used to be the salt and pepper squid Thai salad, but the price is now so exorbitant ($35) that I just can’t justify paying that for a salad, especially when based on my meal today I’m not convinced it would be that good.

I will visit again and give them another go, hopefully tonight was just an off night.

We attended a wedding at this venue. The food and service was magnificent, facilities extremely clean, toilets modern and well cared for. Bar staff very polite and professional. Well done!

The staff were friendly & the service was good. The view from the club was lovely.
However, my chicken schnitzel was disappointing. It was a heart shaped one that you can buy at the butcher's & fried. Would have expected one crumbed by the chef. Prices higher than local pubs so was not good value.

Good taste but someone there needs to learn about portion sizes. $29 for a chicken parmigiana that could pass off for something off the kids menu.

The sign said ‘All Welcome’ but the SA Cruising Yacht Club doesn’t really mean that ‘all’ are welcome. We arrived on Saturday afternoon to have a quiet drink with our 2 adult grand children. We had been there before, just the 2 of us about 4 weeks ago. We were welcomed, shown a table and sat on the edge of the Marina with the petunias blooming in the balmy afternoon, sipping on our wine. The sailors were back from their day competition and we watched as the trophies were given out. We chatted with a number of them, who made us feel welcome in their club. We really enjoyed our time there, that afternoon about 4 weeks ago.
How things can change in a matter of weeks…! This time with our adult grandchildren we thought we would treat them to an afternoon drink as we looked out on the Marina. There were signs up everywhere masks required (we had those on of course), vaccination certificates were required…. 3 of our group were vaccinated, 1 wasn’t and so ‘No we couldn’t have a table by the petunias looking out on the Marina’ - ‘that’s our policy’ they said…. But the sign on the road says ‘All Welcome’…. So you can bring your dog to the Club (which may have fleas & goodness knows what else) but you can’t bring your friend in a group of 4, who has chosen not to be vaccinated and, by the way, doesn’t have Covid…divisive, discriminatory, absolutely! But bring your dogs, they’re most welcome….
Well we left SACYC and had a drink at the Largs Pier Hotel, sitting on the deck in the beautiful sun with the petunias blowing nearby…. So not everyone is Welcome at the SA Cruising Yacht Club. Not sure we’ll return even when the so-called rules are relaxed….

Rude service, not children friendly at all. First place where we get out before ordering (were in to have a look and some food). Felt discriminated against too. Won't go there again, and won't become a member. I don't like being looked at over the shoulder!

Beautiful views of the Marina while you relax and enjoy a couple of Drinks and beaut Meal. Been here many a time for a tasty Breakfast after our Walk, or Lunch and Tea with Family or Friends. Service has always been very good and Staff are helpful, obliging, well organised and friendly. Meals are very good and come out in pretty good time. Love the fact it caters for Breakfast, Lunch and Tea. Also have Events in if you keep up with their Facebook page.

Had a delicious flat white tday. Sat
26 / 6 / 21. For $ 5.00, with a tasty lemon ricotta Bombaloni good value.
Sunday had the cod f main meal, very nice, the veg n pureed artitchoke had intensely good flavour. Seriously.
The rasp ricotta Canoli. Filling, very tasty. The entire Cannoli Pastry was very soggy. May be not fill them till order, place on menu. It may be stacking them, or, place somethin t absorb moisture on base of display plate. To prevent canolis going soggy.
May i suggest for winter, a hot pud. Another is authentic African stew/, caserole/Curry on the specials board. Inhouse tasty beef mini greek koftas flavoured with fresh fine diced herbs n tzadziki lemon rice, grilled souvlaki.he he. No harm asking heh
