Crowne Plaza Adelaide

It's ok for a quick stay. The staff are friendly and the paid car park is right next door. Food from room service however is expensive and quality is very poor. Paid $27 for a Caesar salad (see attached picture) it was just lettuce, bacon, white sauce and croutons. So I'd suggest eating out there are plenty of great food options around.

I don’t even know where to start. Before traveling I rang up hotel for baby chair and cot. This is the only 5star hotel with no high chair. Then I rang for help to book a baby sitter. Staff was so rude and not caring about I am traveling with infant. I had to ring again and another tag could find me a third company number.

On the day of the arrival, the room was so dirty. The restaurant barcode wasn’t working and when I asked for a new barcode it deliver a day after.

Breakfast buffet was so limited, food taste terrible and limited variety.
If you get hungry throughout the week there is no food from 12pm-5pm. This is beyond pathetic.

During room service cleaning, the staff didn’t even clean the coffees from a day before. All the windows was full of stain and the carpet was dirty.

I am traveling with new born, the room service was closed till 5 and I had to order Uber eat. Because my baby was sleeping I couldn’t go downstairs to pick up the food and staff or reception refuses to bring the food to the room. Remember: I have new born which I can’t leave in a room alone.

At night when I asked for water for my kid, they refuse to bring and they say to come downstairs to get.

Throughout the stay the staff were so cold, not welcoming and having a high attitude

Great location. The kids throughout enjoyed the pool overlooking the city. Amazing staff. Ruby at reception was very helpful, pleasant to deal with and very accommodating. Amazing room service, great food and super courteous staff all around. We will definitely visit again.

We had a fabulous stay at the Crowne Plaza. We were warmly welcomed, our room was bright with spectacular views over the city and service throughout our stay was impeccable. Breakfast was outstanding in every way. We can't wait to return.

The location is excellent and the generous room provided a great view of NYE fireworks and was also welcomely uncluttered by the usual array of promotional material.

Unfortunately the AIRCON struggled to cope with the East facing room. Presumably that's the reason for daily SMS requests to keep the blackout curtains closed during the day. A pity given the lovely view.

The off-site carking was convenient and good - once the complexities of the hotel's parking pass had been mastered – but its’ management needs to do something about the constantly overflowing rubbish bins outside the lifts at entry level. Note that the number of hotel parking passes appears to be quite limited so get one early.

The two guests lifts with access above Level 10 were very slow and too small for the passenger volume on some occasions.

Breakfast was better than acceptable but nothing special. The Barista coffee was of inconsistent quality and only managed to match my order 2/4 times.

The room phone wasn't working on arrival but was fixed upon request the following day.

On arrival the bathroom consumables had not been replenished and the shower gel bulk dispenser was empty.
During the first night the bedside alarm went off at 03: 55am. Presumably it had been set by a previous guest and not reset by Housekeeping. Front Desk promised to fix the alarm the following day but failed to do so. That resulted in a second night of disrupted sleep. The following day both a receptionist and I were unable to determine how to cancel the alarm so he simply removed the integrated clock/speaker/charging station.

There was no pen in the room for the laundry list and the bag/list were not replaced after first use until requested.

One day I returned to the room at 3pm for a short nap and the room had not been serviced. No attempt was made to service the room later that day.

Overall, the Crown Plaza Adelaide is a definitely great place to stay but currently let down by a handful of relatively minor issues. Individually, each could be easily dismissed but collectively they point to a systemic policy problem. Whether that is limited to just one property, or is more widespread, is for IHG to determine.

We’ve been staying at the Crown Plaza for the last 4 days, and we have 3 days left before we return back to Sydney.
The Crown Plaza is the best hotel.
It has the best staff.
It’s in the best position.
If we come back to Adelaide, this is the hotel we will be staying.

Great hotel to stay at. Nice staff, rooms are clean and spacious, great amenities, bar and restaurant in house. Close walking distance to restaurants and city sites. Would definitely book again

The Crowne Plaza took care of our wedding party this weekend. We had an absolutely amazing experience. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The One Bedroom Suite was the perfect size for a small wedding party (6 people getting ready plus stylist). The service was brilliant. They catered our extra requests perfectly, including delivering extra chairs to the room, providing additional coffee pods, sending deliveries and guests up to the room, and assisting us with transporting luggage to our vehicle after we had checked out. No request was left unfulfilled, and it really made our wedding experience easy and low-stress. The pool was delightful as well.

Quality, modern and spacious rooms. Service was quite good, along with ease of parking and proximity to Rundle Street.

Warm and excellent experience. The staff was very courteous and I would like to come again to experience the hospitality. Special mention to Archit in the lobby his demeanor was very pleasant and helpful.

Great location, room is comfortable and classy. Love the lobby space on 10th floor, designed for various user needs.

Crowne Plaza provided a pretty wonderful experience while we stayed in their King Premium room.

The room is decent size for 2 and presentation is quite nice!
If you're looking for the perfect view, this isn't it for the time being since there are a lot of construction currently happening at Lot Fourteen.

But hopefully in a year time, this will be better when construction is finished.

Bed is neatly made, Bathroom is pretty modern - yet a bit small unfortunately.

Besides that, staff members are friendly and efficient with room cleaning and services.

All rooms pretty much identical, the higher in levels better the view. Gym is very good. Service is on point

Ruby was excellent, really made our stay fantastic, couldn't help us enough, will recommend this place to other's, the dining room staff also went out of their way to make our stay a pleasure

We were in Room 1113 - right next to the plant room. The buzzing industrial noise was incessant in our executive room. It was very unpleasant and I can’t quite believe they’ve put bedrooms next to this room! Also avoid Room 1114 on the other side.

I can't score the rooms, I only visited a friend in the business centre, right next to the reception, on level 10. The idea of checking in on the ground floor, foyer is dead. Here you get an East facing view of the Adelaide Hills as you step off the elevator. Check in before 11 and you get the rising sun, beaming through the appropriately tinted windows. Desks and chairs are excellent, power and usb charging everywhere. Restaurant, bar and the pool share this floor. Coffee is acceptable and the restaurant was accommodating enough to let us bring in outside food to the business centre. Highly recommend. Come stay here and tell us what the rooms are like. Get an East facing room!

Why does it look like half the building is missing at the top? Whoever designed this building really needs to look upwards.

Disappointing, no mini bar in room despite being advertised. Told only upper level rooms had mini bar. Told breakfast available till 1030. At 1000 advised buffett was closing. Not 5 star service
