Cowell Foreshore Caravan Park reviews
66We went with the caravan the town now has a water park bouncing mat a little coffee van ther and a take away fast food which was great
Friendly staff! Great people to deal with.
Close to new and free waterpark. Jumping pillow and skate park also. Jetty nearby. Boat ramp next door. Great amenities outside the park. Amenities in the park are clean. Park is tidy. Fish cleaning and crab cooking facilities are second to none. Camp kitchen well appointment. Plenty of seating and tables. Opposite a good pub. Very short walk to well stocked supermarket.
Excellent location, camping with a van good, Amenities old but clean. We stayed 3 nights & done day trips. Good place for fishing & good beaches.
We stayed here with our van for 3 days. Nice big sites with an easy walk to town. The amenities are clean however they are looking old and tired. Worth a few day to relax in this friendly town.
Easy, approachable and efficient service. We arrived at low tide and I didn't appreciate the "foreshore". However, a walk at high tide totally changed my outlook! It was stunning seeing the water all through the small mangroves. There's a mangrove boardwalk, an incredibly long jetty and the kids will love the newly constructed playground! When the foreshore improvements are completed, it will be stunning! Loved the UC Op shop too! Cowell is a great place to spend a holiday!
Very happy. Nice hot showers, laundry and camp kitchen facilities.
Large parking spaces
Stayed here for the night, great park staff very friendly the amenties are clean but could do with a litle maintance. Walking distanace to town and great pub on the corner. The water park near by is amazing if you have kids.
Great boat ramp with good parking. You require a ramp permit for use, available at stores in town or the meter at the entrance to the area
In great location, walk to shops and easy access to boat ramp. Amenities well kept and staff friendly and helpful. Now has a new playground, water slides/park, bouncing pillow, basketball court and bbqs next to it.
Don't be fooled by park name. Not on foreshore, rather mangroves. Easy walk to town & kids playground (which is a surprise in this area). Staff friendly. But like most little towns on the 3 peninsulars you have to have a boat or be a fisherperson.
Stayed at the caravan park in the cottage. Apart from the bed being squeaky an the floor's. It was central an close to everything, Cowell is a great place to relax and unwind. Good old fair dinkum, friendly, down to earth people.
Never have I come across so many rude people. We booked in to a powered site for the night we had some elderly ppl parked up behind us were the most rudest ppl they didn’t want us there and made it well known. Not a nice place to be staying even the booking in ppl were not friendly. Very sad indeed
Great location. Amenities outdated.
Drainage of caravan waste water disgusting, no drainage outlet, water is left to run and pool on own site and the neighbours.
Loved our time at Cowell Foreshore Caravan Park. The plentiful blue swimmers and fish at this time of year, brings return visitors from all over. There’s a lovely vibe between those return visitors, who fish or crab all day, then clean their catches in the park’s facilities and then settle into 4: 00pm happy hour. Everyone seemed relaxed and happy. Seems to have been a relaxed retirees park for a long time, up until the opening of the new waterpark, jumping pillow, and skate park that the caravan park now backs onto. I hope that the grey nomads continue to come every year, & embrace the change that the park will go through. Kids love having yarns to the older generations and could definitely learn a thing or two from them. Hopefully there will be fishing enthusiasts, young and old that can all have a great experience together.
Now, for the showers and amenities…. They were so clean! Shower pressure and temperature were perfect!
Finally, the staff - thank you so much for going above and beyond for us. You guys are legends, especially Kerry.
Thanks for a great stay.
If your a fishing person, this is the place for you. Sites are large but so packed in you are walking through others to get to yours. One dated amenities block, sandy gravel sites. Most have been there long term.
Lovely park easy to get to launch fishing boat etc. If your not going there to fish don't. Sites quite jammed in together and you have to fight your way around everyone's boats, large 4wd and barking dog.
This caravan park is a great place for break during a long road trip. There are many facilities for kids fun and tables for picnics. There are toilets and a jetty to walk on.
Loved this place. Had fish and chips and fish and chips box place.
Sheds are really good idea specially for sunny days.
Got here on a 40 deg day. Someone was in our site. When we finally got settled power was off, then water went off. Just got van cooled off then power was off again.
Very affordable, friendly, clean park. Good sized sites (was able to accommodate our 19m bus and trailer). Nice quiet little town, fantastic fishing and crabbing. Great kids water park next door.
Pet friendly.
