The best jobnet office I have ever been to.
I have been lucky enough to have enjoyed such a friendly, happy, helpful relationship with the staff at CBS Gilles Plains.
Particularly with TJ. She is such a happy helpful optimistic person who actually listens to your disadvantages and helps you realistically deal with them.
Until NOW! When my case manager changed from TJ to Josh (without my knowledge) who on my 1st appt with him demanded I come to the office in person (during COVID restrictions) with No option for a telephone appt. And he had my C'link payments suspended because I could not.get to my 'in person' appt.when it was my legal right to have a phone appt.
Josh would NOT even work with me or compromise on the (too early) inconvenient appt.time He allocated me - Instead he made it worse by purposely making my next appt even earlier.
Josh is a very antognistic & intimidating person and I have Zero Tolerance for bullies.
This Josh showed me he is a Very Intimidating person who has NO Empathy, Extremely Rude, Uncompromising, Threatening and definitely Intimidating.a bully.
NOT HELPFUL OR WILLING TO WORK WITH ME IN ANY FORM.
I even stopped and thought about my safety & whether I should even enter a room with this Josh without witnesses.
I was actually scared.
And even AFTER explaining to Josh about my CPTSD and severe Depression (which should be CLEARLY written in my file anyway) he chose to act aggressively toward me - slamming the office door as hard & as loud as he possibly could. Ordering me to sit in a particular seat and telling me he "will have me in that office EVERY week looking for a job.
If I dont have a medical cert. You will be here looking for work. Its Black and White".
Meaning no consideration at all will taken in for my disadvantages in life.
I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED DESE FOR A TRANSFER FROM THAT OFFICE.
Mind you - This is the first time ever that I have been treated so disgustingly bad and it has only come from one person - Josh.
Unfortunately it only takes one rotten apple.
I would highly recommend CBS at Gilles Plains *IF* Josh was not there.

Got cut of for sending my job searches! No explanation. This place is ripping off the tax payers - I have evidence. They cut me off BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT. Whoever is running this operation should be FIRED. My appointment done by phone not due to Tuesday. I was told it was all approved last time as well - can't win. I have run out of options. Sick of being forced to reapply for the same jobs BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE.

Despite the job plan contradicting "suitable work clause" (that isn't in in the job plan which is odd but its law) which only allows me to apply for one specific type of employment so far so good. I still apply for "other jobs" but I only log jobs I'm suitable for which is one type, which is annoying but its the law so I can't break that. I've had to walk up there 4 hours there & back in total up hill. It's just as bad downhill as its still putting pressure on it. Flat surface walks are fine & I'm no good on buses. So they won't pay for cab rides to get me there.

Only major concern was getting someone else's appointment letter by mistake in the mail which is a privacy worry but that has been the only stuff up so far & it was confirmed I hadn't breached any legal situations so that was something. I just hope that person didn't miss out an appointment when CBS sent the wrong letter to me instead of them.

They won't pay for a proper police station clearance check even though companies only accept a police station clearance check & won't generally accept the other cheap online ones (which is fine for getting a passport at least but not practical despite what the law says about them).

CBS won't support studies especially Cert 2 courses so once again I'm funding this myself & they won't use this an official part of the job plan unaware job seekers can't even afford Cert 3 courses but overall no bullying so for once I'm happy as I can finish my degree without interference from these places. I shall still do Cert 2 in Electronics but in the evening if all goes well so they can't prevent me from doing it. People need education to retrain & get a job otherwise we job seekers will stay unemployed but CBS don't seem to get that but then again no job service provider gets that.

I lost a job interview as the new "unit coordinator" couldn't be bothered to look at the arrangement with the previous consultant. No job matching at all they just forced me to walk in the heat & cold etc on a busted knee & leg to BOOK THE NEXT APPOINTMENT. Eventually it was done at the phone but at my own cost JUST TO BOOK THE NEXT APPOINTMENT. Wouldn't let me use my Uni degree as a mutual obligation. Nightmare! Unprofessional AVOID! I have email retained as evidence - I did no wrong Had too many incidents with this place, all of which resulted in loss of job interviews as I was trying to fix up messes much like all the other Liberal government taxpayer funded recruitment agencies - such as nightmare. Its a waste of taxpayer money JUST TO BOOK THE NEXT APPOINTMENT & BE FORCED TO REAPPLY FOR THE SAME JOBS! They are all as bad as each other. Almost finished my degree - no thanks to this nightmare place.

I was assigned to this outlet of CBS without any choice. I shifted immediately, not because of the performance of staff at this outlet, but for two reasons. The first, I have had terrible experiences at two other CBS outlets, and was not prepared to go a third round. The second reason, for a disability job service provider it is a huge hike for disabled ppl from the nearest car park, let alone from the nearest bus stop, so immediately got myself transferred to another JSP. The person I saw was polite and apologised for past experiences, but it is not realistic to have a disability service provider so inaccessible, even if the company was trustworthy, which in my experience I have not found them to be so.
