Colonels Fish & Chicken Shop

Ordered a hamburger with the lot. What I was given was a sloppy burger thing. It was not beef. I don't know what it was but it was so unpleasant that I had to bin it. Made me feel ill. Yuck!

Ordered 2 Hamburgers and chips. Was offered chicken salt but got no salt at all. As soon as it was unwrapped the burger completely disintergated into a pile of mush. Bun absolutely sodden with beetroot juice and smashed tomato that was either over ripe or just about to go off. Even the patty instantly turned to mince
In desperation, we tried stripping everything off the soggy bun and attacked it with knife and fork, but everything had turned into a stew, and as each ingredient apart from the (canned) beetroot was tasteless we decided to bin it. Thank god we ate over plastic place mats so it was not such a disater to dispose of our pile of mush. The chips were dry and tasteless. We got less than a mouthful of food for a whopping $41.
Stop making burgers.you're just no good at it.
Maybe other items on the menu are less disgusting, but we won't be trying it out. Never ever again. $41? It's almost criminal.

Fast burgers average flavour

Made a quick stop here and tried their burger with the lot.

The shop was quiet around lunchtime which resulted in super fast service.

As far a burgers go I’d say this is an average burger. I wasn’t a fan of the patty. I prefer just a good old beef fatty without green stuff in there.
The burger was filling with basic flavours.

Love this shop. Delicious food, lots of variety and terrific service. My go to take away shop.

Ordered 1/4 chicken pack with chips. Chips were undercooked and tasted disgusting. Gravy was good, and the chicken was a bit dry but can’t complain. I ordered Greek salad and got some random cucumber salad instead.disappointed to say the least. The portion for the price is very well, however due to the mix up and chips this was definitely disappointing and not worth it.

Everything you could want from a takeaway shop!
This is my go to for takeout hands down. Found them after being treated like garbage by another nearby takeaway shop that obviously didn’t need customers.
The Colonels is the only place to go for takeaway in this area for sure!
Stay away from everyone else.
It’s local family owned and they take pride in their food. Everything tastes great and the service is quick and efficient.
Try it and then tell your friends!
Life is too short to waste your time at other places that are just a visa business!

Ordered fish and chips last night and got severely bad food poisoning. They were about to close and I ordered over the phone, I asked for two pieces of butterfish, but they insisted on me ordering the garfish, I just said yes to make it easier. When we received our food, the chips were okay, but the fish was very dry, incredibly pungent and as soon as we ate it and could tell there was something not quite right. Hours later, we both got sick from the fish and threw up. We are still incredibly ill. A few weeks ago we ordered the same food, and I got really sick from the fish but thought nothing of it until the second time yesterday. We won’t be going there ever again very disappointed as we like to support local businesses, but this is unsafe.

I have been coming here for many years. Sad to say last nights takeaway was disappointing. Chicken was okay but stuffing was inferior to previously. The chips were yellow and quite dry having been cooked and kept in baskets above fryer, then redipped in oil to reheat. Different chips to those previously bought from here not sure if there has been a change in owner but quite disappointing

Woeful to say the least. This joint has slowly gone downhill, been going here since 2000 but these past couple of years have been disappointing. Jim and Anna are lovely people but some of the staff need a lecture on food prep. Ordered a hamburger with the lot today, the bloke used his bare hands to make it.paused mid flight to use the phone then returned to my burger, phones carry tonnes of bacteria! He also wiped his hands on his shirt while making my food. The photo shows how slap dash the burger was. Absolutely ridiculous, fired on the spot if I was the boss hog.

Excellent cooked chicken to add to our Christmas lunch for chicken loving children. They were lucky to get any as adults tucked in. Thank you again

But anyways, this place is the bomb
They make the CRISPIEST chips on earth and give the most generous servings known to planet earth at very reasonable prices (even with the added cost of Uber delivery)
Just fed the family with a single person serve and still have enough for Brekky tomorrow (maybe exaggerating a bit, but you get the idea)
Could not recommend enough, number one fan

Well, I picked up my order at 12: 48pm today, and left the shop feeling completely disregarded based on my English not being great. If only the service was as good as their food.

Worst chips ive ever tasted! Dry, tasteless and yellow? ! Why are chips bright yellow like a banana? ‍️ So terrible I felt obligued to review.

Very unprofessional. After having their food my tow kids got food poisoning & need to admit their hospital. Chicken was not fresh & very bad smell. Really disappointed.
