Coles St Peters reviews
35Probably giving them a miss for a while, I go there regularly as they're close and went in last night to grab some things, a lot of the beef looked off and the first pack of cherry tomatoes i grabbed were mouldy. I ended up putting everything back on the shelf and walking out.
The back of Coles, the way many of us walk in, is disgusting, smelly and I suspect unhygienic. Makes you wonder about the state of the storage areas. Clearly Coles have no say over their landlords but would it hurt to tidy up round the back a bit? (Update - this is better now. And trees are growing again too.)
As for the store itself - no good for the full weekly shop (too many things not stocked or just Coles brand) but convenient for things you've forgotten.
Update - they’ve improved a little so have upped my rating. Could still use being more pedestrian friendly (no footpaths on Ann Street side of building round to post office) and no places to tie up a dog while you’re popping in for something.
I now have to use three times as many bags for the same amount of shopping and even then, the paper tears open, and it spills everywhere. Not to mention paper can't be reused like the old plastic bags. No one's buying it. It's pretty obvious Coles is selling an inferior product for the same price and using sustainability as their excuse. I want to go back to the old world where I wasn't forced into being my own checkout chick, more than one person served at the checkout during peak times and things we invented millennia ago, like bags, actually worked. I know these things are dictated by company policy, so nothing against this Coles in particular; but I'm seriously considering paying more at IGA for even the most basic level of customer service and consideration.
Easy, multiple access. Well laid out, not too big but all you need in one small centre and supermarket
It is the usual Coles and Woolworths stores.
Boring, understaffed, limited range of product choices, no help if one needs it to pack shopping in their car. IGA/Foodland happily do this for me.
I left a bag of frozen pizzas at the end of the counter when I left and tried calling them 30 minutes later and nobody answered. I tried twice for 5 minutes each time and it just kept ringing. I couldn't even leave a message. If the pizzas aren't kept for me in the freezer overnight I'll be demanding new ones as they were open for business and should be contactable by phone during operating hours. I won't even rate them 1 star after this. It'd be good if management did their job.
I place a $125.45 shopping order when a previous order couldn't be found, 2 hrs latter it was delived, so I cancelled the previous 1. This was done with in 2 hrs off each other being confirmed y email. Net day they took the payment and what made it worse they took $20 more than they should have. 9days latter still no refund, consumer affairs is next.
Coles usually has good prices for quality fruit & veg. Today I was disappointed as I specially drove to Coles as I felt like their delicious garlic prawns (from deli sectìon) but they had none. Many bags of potatoes use-by dates lasts only 1-2 days which isn't at all flexible enough for my needs. I was happy I got a good car park today - shadey & easy access
I really hate and dislike coming in to the coles st peters, because It smells like rotten egg. Anyway not sure why My Coles eGift card for $50 was rejected to buy cigaret. But in the past I bought cigaret 3 to 4 times a week with my eGiftcard not a problems.
12/03/2022 serve by Lucy all she said can't buy cigaret with coles eGift card.
It the past 6 months at the same store I bought $1000 worth of cigaret with coles eGift card.
I had the rudest staff member accusing me of theft. Yet I see people stealing all the time in this place
Found what I needed at a reasonable price and left via the impersonal self service checkout. How long will it be before Coles reduces the staff in the store to none. The impersonal nature of the store I feel encourages theft or people scanning all their groceries as potatoes. There are free apples for children only, why only children? I don't like shopping at Coles it is just a task to complete, but I do find it fast and efficient.
What a disappointing experience. As I approached the 2 open checkouts, a staff member put up signs indicating each was closed. My only option was self-checkout. The supervisor there said a polite "Good Morning" but when I replied that it was no longer so as checkouts were closed she snapped at me that they were not. She twice contradicted me. She then rather beligerently asked if I wanted to use a checkout, stomped down, removed the closed sign and irritatedly directed a staff member to serve me.
A bespectacled male staff who manages the trolley has a very terrible attitude! He always prevents customers from going to the supermarket with the trolley before the closing time (even 10 minutes from the closing time). And he often quarrels with customers and other shopping centre staff. I don't understand why such employees can't improve their service attitude to customers but hope that customers can provide him with convenience, which greatly affects the shopping experience. I hope the mall management can handle this, if it can not be improved, maybe other people are more qualified for this job.
Great place to shop, really good specials and old fashioned service. Big thanks to Kyla & Renu for there friendly service some other staff members should take a lesson on friendly service from both of them as that is what makes customers return to the same place. You just have to look at how Virgin Airlines teach there staff.friendly.friendly
Nothing fresh, meat all close to expiry. Deli meats stale. Gone downhill for quite a while now. Best be avoided.

Nice enough store and you could see effort was being made to keep shelves stocked. However I encountered the extremely rude woman referred to in another review. She clearly did not want to be there as her attitude was atrocious. There are other people who would dearly love to be able to have a job like that. I'll go to another Coles near me or I don't even have to go to a Coles at all.
Hi i like shopping at this store but can you PLEASE KEEP THE EGGS IN THE FRIDGE. Its unsafe for eggs not to be in the fridge. Thank you.
Good clean store. Low on pre-prepared meals that are not frozen. Fruit and vegetables are fresh and reasonable priced. Flybuys beats Woolworths Rewards so much. I take that into account when I compare total shopping prices.
Pretty good range. They could stock household brooms as that was one of the things we came for.
