All new and fancy. But, the baby changing room was always locked up. It's very frustrating.

I guess it takes a clueless corporate behemoth like Coles to knock down a supermarket and replace it with one that is barely any improvement at all on what was there before. The design for the new Norwood store is pretty much bog standard Coles. There are slightly more streamlined freezer cabinets. And the aisles are wider. But otherwise there is no innovation, no substantial style update, no hint that the store might offer a better selection of fruit & veg or meat or fish, and nothing at all to suggest that Coles might have given some thought to making their stores or the overall shopping experience any better. If anything, there's an added beige-blandness to the design and even more of a soul-sapping sterility to the atmosphere. My first thought on leaving was that driving a bit further to shop at Frewville Foodland now seems like an even better idea. Oh, and worst of all, the parking is no better. Mid-afternoon on a Monday it was choc-a-block; heaven help anyone trying to shop there on a Saturday. It's unfathomable that Norwood Council allowed the shopping centre to be re-built without insisting on substantially more parking. It seems they're as lacking in foresight and creativity as the suits at Coles.

Great to see the new Coles Norwood up and running. I did not realise it was reopened untill we walked by, so surprised no advertising done here. Might explain lack of people in store. I was impressed with the new look. Have always like Coles. Even though many Foodland products can match Coles prices I prefer to shop at Coles due to the Flybuy and if foodland cannot offer customer this service then they do not deserve my hard earned money. Lets hope the carpark does not become a problem where people use it only to go elsewhere and we the customers have nowhere to park and I'm talking about night time especially Friday nights.

Its a major facelift big open space. Fridge iems are well displayed. But the atmosphere remains colesy. There is a new parking area. Unsure if its exlusively for the centre. Lots of carparked but when i went inside only few people i see.

However dont come here if you are going to buy lots of things. I bought $340 worth of items. When i headed to the checkout theres this long checkout table. It turns out to be a self serve checkout. I went to see if there are any staff assisted check out but failed. I saw one but its for 12 items of less only. Theres another checkout but its again 6-7 mini selfserve check out. I cant seem to see a staff assited check out. Im so frustrated after ive spend 30 minutes doing my shopping. I have to scan my items by myself. If its not in desperation that i need these items for that afternoon i wouldve left the whole cart there and go somewhere else. I dont know how many individual items ive bought but my receipt was about a foot and a half.

Also dont buy cigarrettes here if you are in a hurry. You need to go in the shop entrance then head to the counter. The door which is closest to the cigarettes is exit only it wont open from the outside if you are trying to make a shortcut. I understand that this is for a security purposes. So dont be surprised to come out more than just cigarettes because you are lured to pass some supermarket items before you reach the counter.

My goodness, what a supermarket. It's huge. You can find all sorts of foods etc here. Beautiful new store.

We regularly buy "shredded roast chicken" at the deli, and I always have to double check it and clean it up (for at least 10 minutes) before we can eat it. It has not been done carefully at all, with gristle, bloody bits, fatty bits, even bone sometimes! I usually have to throw away 20% of what I've bought. I expect much better care if you're charging $22 a kilo! It just does not look appetising. Sometimes I buy it at Coles at Tea Tree Plaza, and they seem to have much higher standards, with clean white meat, as it should be. Please take much more care when you're preparing the shredded roast chicken.

2.27 pm Monday.
It's getting to the point where it is a struggle to find a park here.anytime!
There needs to better supervision of parking.

Good shop and variety on offer ie fresh hot chillies.
However I found the self checkout software was not user friendly when compared to Woolies.

You'll find the real people of norwood doing their shopping. Everything is cheaper than foodland, buy 5 things and save $20 on average compared to foodland in norwood. Same stuff just with out the $2 or $3 extra cost per item.

Store is due for an upgrade. Hope the RM reads this so he can push to get the funding for a face lift. Staff were well trained and the store was stocked well. Probably could reduce store allocation to free up off locations and clear the overfull stock room but what do I know.

I enjoy shopping at this store. Very friendly smiling staff who always go out of their way to assist me when I am looking for items and make me feel welcome. For me it's the best store on my side of town in the eastern suburbs. Joe

It's another Coles supermarket. This was is largely unchanged over 30 or more years, so it's a little tired but it surprisingly large with the standard Coles layout (veggies to the right, cold things at the back). Careful not to park too long though. There are steep fines if you overstay parking time limits, something almost unheard of.

Surprised there is still a coles here. While it’s clean and has plenty of good bargains. It’s always empty.

I'm shopping in Coles for over 20 years. On 30 July around 7.20pm at Norwood ColesIColes, Iwas served by Sarah. During checkout I accidentally dropped cheese and crackers packet. I requested her to kindly help me to pick it up as it was closer to her feet. To my surprise she told me to crawl and pick up myself. And with few hanging shopping bags bundles, I thought it was impossible for me. She didn't moved an inch and with cold face continued to finish whatever was left on conveyer belt near her. I felt bad and insulted after this unusual standard of customer service. Where are the basics? Definitely need training in customer service.

Village type atmosphere with vine covered walkway that is great in summer. Park is opposite. Store could do with a upgrade.

Not a bad Coles store. It does tend to be out of certain item on a regular basis and with another major supermarket within the same area I only go if it has that item that I really need.

Coles Norwood is where I shop for my staples, except for fresh produce which I get from Central Market. It is always spacious, not overly crowded and most of the staff are helpful. During the pandemic lockdown, it was so considerate of them to keep extended hours opening early and closing at 11pm.

Some of the foh staff were very rude to a disabled person I sometimes take shopping there, more than once, it was clear to see they would prefer this person not to shop in their store, they traumatized this person to the point where the person will no longer go there and I will also not shop at Coles Norwood if I have a choice

Parking is reasonable. Coles staff are well trained and friendly. The pricing is very competitive. The Fresh Food section is a bit sad. Examples are the bananas are frequently over ripe. Shopping at Norwood Coles is a good experience
