Things have slipped here. Empty shelves and very little serving staff. Lift up your game or I'll be going to woolies next door

Disappointed that I drove to 2 Coles stores to get a grapefruit for a recipe. It is advertised online that Coles have grapefruit. I didn't realise it depends on which store. A bit more info would have helped. Not that anybody cares, it'snot their petrol. So I went to the smaller business who had grapefruit aplenty. Lesson learned, but I wish Coles and other businesses were interested in self-improvement.

Plenty of local product choice from this Coles. Always clean, neat, stocked, and well presented.

Only had one check out with a worker, so forced to use self serve.not a good look coles. Clearly focused on company profits instead of investing in Australian workers.

Not quite as well stocked as Woolworths less than 100m away but the lanes are wider which is good for shipping trolleys, and tend to have slightly better prices and more caring staff.

Bought some blueberries for $2 and a jar of tahini which was half price. A good buy for both.
Made homus with tahini. It was smooth and delicious

I have since started doing my shopping elsewhere as there is no longer a meat deli here. But at least they have plastic bags still, the paper bags offered elsewhere are useless with heavy items

This store is set out so differently to the others. It’s a bit tricky to navigate as items don’t necessarily seem in the most logical aisle.

Per some of the recent reviews, there definitely seems to be some level of bias when it comes to customer service. My experiences, however, were from a staff member of middle eastern appearance. They very slow when an item needed a price check, taking what seemed to be at least 15 minutes just to get someone to do it. They then insisted it was the higher price that was showing up because they checked a different shelf. She ignored me when I told her it was from the clearance rack and there was an entire box of them there. She then told me that items in that section had something wrong with them and proceeded to ask me if I wanted to purchase the apparently defective item for the higher price. Incredibly poor service.

Other than that this outlet doesn't have baking facilities it is a convenient place to get groceries. In the same complex there is Woolworths who do have a bakery. In competition for fruit and vegetables there isTony and Marks who also offer a cold meats and continental goods. Newton Village has a numbers of Retail outlets and parking, generally, is not a problem.

I heard the staff lady say behind my back “theyll moniter me” as I was leaving? Seemed to be racially motivated as I was literally paying for my all groceries over $100? She seemed to be friendly and helpful to the white customers though. Additionally their shelves are quiet empty so just avoid this coles unless you’re white. Many other coles which are better and dont discriminate.

I think 1 star is honestly too generous for this Coles. This is the worst I've ever been treated by staff anywhere. There is a very large distinction in the treatment of coloured people against white people. A lot of the staff is stuck up and rude and as an ethnic person with self respect I will make a conscious effort to avoid this Coles even though I live nearby. If you're in the area and in search of a Coles I would recommend the Firle Coles. Much nicer staff and a greater variety of groceries:)

Usually Coles stuff, bit low on meat at the moment, but as expected. Overall a nice clean store ️

Dodgy pricing. Shows up as one on the shelf and upon first scan but totals to a different number upon payment. Clerk was aware items were scanned wrong, he paused, looked me up and down before walking off when he realised I hadn’t noticed. They subsequently tore the tag off the shelf before we could get it fixed at the service counter. Avoid and don’t support such dodgy practices.

Pathetic. Two days before Christmas and you shut at 9pm. This is why you will always be behind the east coast.

Good range. A pretty thorough special diet food section. Good quality produce. It's worth asking at the counter if there's something out of stock.

I have been shopping here for a long time and have found that they usually stock a wide range of items and in various sizes which is handy. Pricing is about normal (not exorbinant) and a bit cheaper than some rivals. The staff at the checkouts have always been good and friendly.

I found Coles meat and vegetables fresher than Woolworth. Also most of the products are cheaper in coles. I bought this product for my niece $12.260ml and in Woolworth was $20 for same bottle 260ml

There’s an older white lady often working at the self serve area who appears to be quite racist. She moved to watch an Asian customer scan there items despite it being very busy. The customer only a had a hand full of items while many of the others customers using self serve had trolleys full. I wonder how much loss is due to her behaviour. She also proceeded to thank all the other customers for shopping there and to have a nice day except the Asian customer. She also fails to get price checks if it scans wrong would ask abruptly ‘if you still wanted it’
