Clare Valley Motel

Striking facade from 1920's rooms are comfortable. Well set back off main road so no noise view over valley to wooded hills. Very nice

Cannot thank the hotel enough! We called last minute at 8: 40pm at night after a camping venture did not go to plan (over run by huge 8 legged visitors) and we were in desperate need of a room. The hotel was SOOO accommodating and understanding. Have never been more thankful for wonderful service! Will definitely be back to stay again; camping is not for us! Thankyou again!

First impressions walking in was this place looks great, but the smell in our 3 bedroom apartment was bad, coming from our microwave and smelt the entire house out.

The kitchen benches and table were dirty. Bottle caps under the bed, dirty carpets and walls. Furniture is still falling apart as someone else mentioned from November 2022.

NO WORKING FIRE ALARM.

Promises from the website for a hottub. The hot tub is big enough for a small child only and it did not have a plug. One of the workers tried to find me a plug but no kne could help her locate one.

Our oven didnt work and when we called they said "oh yeah the last guy complained about that too" and said it was already nighttime and too late to fix and to use the outdoor bbq to cook out pasta while it was raining.but the next day they didn't come out to fix the oven either. We stayed for 3 days.

No phone to dial "9" like their outdated guest information book suggested.

Washing machine doesn't do a full cycle without an error message popping up.

Aircon I'm bedroom only worked when it felt like it.

One of the PowerPoint's did not work in the bedroom.

Only 1 PowerPoint to either charge phone, put electric blanket on, or turn the lamp on.

Nails in deck are starting to lift up and is a tripping hazard.

Meant to have WiFi, but didn't work. Had a mouse visit us in wee hours of morning. And toilet was leaking

Beautiful Valley View from the Motel.

Booked at this place for the night for a wedding. I had received all the confirmation emails from booking on their website. On arrival, I was told my booking wasn’t there. They found my booking email, which was confirmed, but had not secured my room. On further investigation, they found the manager had cancelled my booking late at night, without telling me or sending any details. The people at the desk, constantly kept reminding me they have only just taken over, and are the reliefs until the manager returns. They had no other rooms, and with a wedding in 2 hours, this absolutely ruined my night. While they were helpful with ringing a couple of places, they couldn’t help me, and we had to get ready in their bathroom. Our night was ruined, and the added stress of trying to make other arrangements made for an unenjoyable night. If you’re going to cancel a reservation, let your customers know, or at least, you should fix the situation, instead of leaving the customer high and dry. Unfortunately wouldn’t recommend, only book, if you want to gamble with securing a room when you arrive.

While staying in a spa room we reported spa not working. The man at reception was awful stating if he moved us he would need to pay to clean both rooms, he would be a room down. At no stage did he apologise just continued with how put out he was. Second room we moved to spa also didnt work.

Outdated, old and overpriced. The cottage type rooms in dire need of modernisation and a deep clean. Shower was pretty much useless, either scalding or cold, no pressure. Bathroom in general a bit mouldy. Bed not very comfortable. Breakfast provided was very basic. Wouldn't recommend to stay here.

I will give all 5stars to the location, management staff, add-on facilities however, the Hill side apartment that we lived in had disappointing interiors. I extended my stay to an extra day just for the location but had to mange with old and run down furniture, carpets, curtains. A positive feedback will be that the Hillside apartment needs an urgent renovation.

Basic but clean. 1.7kms from town with up and down footpath not too good for walking into town.

Very modest accommodation how ever perfect for stop over or explore the area. Clean and quiet. Very good VFM

The room was spacious and clean. We didnt book ahead and got there at night, but the check in process was easy. Our room is on the lower part but the view is still good. There are few Tesla charger - wow.

Good facilities with pool etc.rooms are ok and heard some are recently renovated. The bathroom did look a bit dirty though and not very pleasant to shower in (brown grout and just a bit old/out dated). Not bad for cheap price, but wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here.

The room looked like it had not been vacuumed, the bathroom seemed like it had not been cleaned in some time; the 1 face washer that was provided was dirty with makeup residue from the previous person; the outside chairs, table and ground had sauce spilt over them making it a non desirable space to use. Considering the cost we will not be back.

We stayed here on 15/10/21. Checked in early with no problems and very friendly staff. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Shower was so good and had heaps of pressure and plenty of hot water. In summary the accomodation was perfect and very welcoming. We will certainly be back and spend more time here on our next visit

I'm staying here while touring for 3 days.
It's quiet and clean and comfortable.
On a hill so you get a view.
There is a pool for the warmer weather.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Spacious room.
I definitely recommend staying here while you're touring the Clare Valley and the surrounds.

Excellent. Lovely helpful staff, and very generous breakfast box. Our bed was very comfortable. Room attractively presented. The bathroom needs updating, but overall a very good stay, highly recommended!

Clare Valley Motel is a great place to stay. There are plenty of great attractions in the area, and lots to do!

When I walked in it was so cold and it smelt really bad the smell never went away and I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and the step didn't have a black and yellow strip saying caution step there so I tripped and hurt my right knee cap.

No water in fridge
Plates and bowls and cutlery wasn't washed
Bed didnt have any electric blanket like the booklet said
After day 2 I wanted to leave and the bed was extremly uncomfy and small.
