Clare Central Motel

We love this trip and love the Clare Central Motel, so close to shops and restaurants and we visited a lot of wineries.
Up there for the park run on Saturday morning.

We came to explore what Clare has to offer that day and ended up staying in this motel for the night
We got a big room but we can't turn the heater temperature up as it set up for a certain level.
It was a rainy, cold night and we were freezing!
So we put extra blanket and pillows on top of it to make it a bit warm

Better than expected. The King Spa kitchenette room was spacious and the temperature was good. Small fridge with no minibar items means I have lots of room. Self-check in was easy to use

The lady at reception was not friendly at all. The pool was out of order. We were a group of 6, staying in 3 rooms. Our rooms all smelt musty and were not very clean.
The shelves in the fridge in our room was dirty and the lady came to clean it when I told her about it, which was good but she left whatever was cleaned off the shelves in the sink without even cleaning the sink. The kitchen light flashed all the time. Uncomfortable beds and dirty windows. Fortunately we only booked to stay for 1 night. We won't be returning.

Maggie the owner was beyond rude right from the beginning I don't know where she got 7 children from but accussed me of trying to fit more then allocated in the rooms and continued to ask even when i had said no many of times! She also flagged a friend's name and told her that the police would be called if she brought more people then allocated i dont know where she misunderstood somewhere along the line but when trying to talk to her she cuts you off and even hangs up. I was willing to egnore the behaviour because we needed somewhere to stay. However life unfortunately had it that i could no longer stay. With near 7 days notice she was more then happy to cancel but no reasoning with her to get a refund $250 paid for a room i can no longer use and no refund is beyond a joke and down right robbery. I believe she needs a holiday to recoup and find some love in what she does. I have worked in hospitality for all my life and never treated anyone in the way she has treated me.

Goodluck to her she's gonna need it if she wants her business to survive

Very well appointed and extremely clean. Bed very comfortable and area amazingly quiet overnight. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed there on a work trip. The woman who answered the phone at reception was the rudest person I have ever met. She said there was no booking for me. Shut the door in my face, came back and said I did have a booking and then said I was lucky she answered the phone otherwise I wouldn't have been able to access my room. My work colleague experienced the same attitude after they did not answer the reception phone for half an hour then were also extremely rude. Makesa mockery of the word Reception. The rooms were comfortable but we have told our employer not to book this motel for other staff members who are coming to Clare for a course. Her behaviour was inexcusable.

All good but for some minor water hammer. Had room 21. Extremely clean and well presented.

Thought I walk into the wrong room! Extremely spacious room and bathroom.
Absolutely stunning for 149per night.

Newly renovated using quality, appealing fittings and fixtures. Huge TV, large quality microwave, massive shower with great finishing touches by tradesmen. A credit to management and housekeeping!
Will be back for sure if I'm passing through again

Great room. Neat, spacious and very clean. The heating was on when we arrived, which was very welcome

Rooms are very spacious & clean. Walking distance to pubs & supermarket. They also have a block to park if towing a trailer etc. Will stay again.

This is place no longer a Comfort Inn. Just Clare Motel. And it's fantastic! I've stayed here a few times years ago when it was a Comfort Inn and it was perfectly adequate back then. I arrived today to find a very recently renovated property. Not sure if all rooms have been renovated, but mine is awesome. The rooms are actually large to begin with, so with everything new, it was a huge surprise. And for $149, these days that's a bargain. The sign states 3 stars, but I reckon that's because it doesn't have a restaurant anymore, which I think is a requirement to claim 4 stars. But my room is 4 stars in all but name. Very satisfied and will come again for sure.

Clean spacious room with second twin room. Beds great. Good linen. No hairdryer.
Let itself down as cutlery catered for 3 people as did plates - over abundance of mugs. A pair of tongs and a slotted spoon only made cooking difficult.
Four good towels but only one face washer.
Attention to these details would have made our stay less difficult. No one in attendance at reception to enable ‘filling the gaps’.

Great motel in the middle of Clare! Walking distance to everything on the main street; rooms are spacious and clean with everything you need out of a motel - could not fault it at all for the price.

Very neat and clean large rooms.
My room had a king size bed and a spa, as well as a kitchenette.
Modern and comfortable.
Good free wifi.

Great location, well priced and conveniently located next to Tim Knappstein Wines. A 5-10 minute walk into town for dinner

5min walk to town centre. Clean, spacious room. Easy 24 hour self check in. Only issue was the smell of other peoples cigarette smoke filtering into the room.

Bbq area not clean, room had dead flies in windows. For the price should have someone to check you in

The Clare central has been great! I’m from Adelaide and have been working in the region over the last few weeks. I cannot fault the place, it’s clean/tidy, big rooms.the staff/reception are great and happy to help with any issues.it’s a comfortable place.very good bathroom, very generous shower area!

Most rude, obnoxious, arrogant motel manager I have ever come across. She doesn’t care at all about paying customers. AVOID AVOID AVOID if you care at all about customer service
