I attend this practice thanks to my wife who has had nothing but help and life saving support from the Dr that we see. The recention staff are always good for a giggle and a chat whenever we come through.
They try to fit you in when they can, and endeavour to reschedule if you have to be cancelled on their end.
I've also had nothing but amazing support and got further in my mental health healing with my gp here than I've been able to get in the past (with some exceptions).
10/10 will still attend here when i move back to the country.

Dr Elaine Hirst's bio on the CBMC website states she graduated from training in 1985 and has interest in women's health so it is confusing to find a person who is impolite and unwelcoming, who chooses not to make or hold eye contact or who communicates whilst looking downward at what she has on her desk, all deliberately meant to provide the least personal or professional interaction with this unwell female patient. I read somewhere that over time, some doctor's can become illusional about their skill level and knowledge - and forget just how ordinary they are. If the band-aid fits.

My parents (in their 80’s) have been coming here for years. As as child I was constantly misdiagnosed by several of the doctors there, putting down my symptoms as being either a virus or that I was a hypochondriac, when in fact I had a brain tumour the size of an orange that had probably been there for at least 8 years. Now when my both of my parents have COVID, I’ve found myself and my parents, dealing with a power tripping, soul-less, ignorant receptionist who as soon as we mentioned COVID, flicked us off and told us to ring a hotline when all we were requesting was a phone call appointment with any Dr. She was so rude and just continually kept talking, not allowing us to get a word in. We were lucky enough, after ringing again, to have a very lovely and helpful person who answered the phone and it felt like she almost went out of her way and managed to fit them in for a phone call appointment. I’m stunned at how the other woman can keep her job with the attitude that she has!

Terrible reception staff.
Most of the doctors are professional and willing to help if you can get an appointment.
I think there are just so many people in need and not enough GP's to go around.
You will be treated like a number here so if personal care is what you want, stay away!

I had a very rude blonde receptionist tell me at MY surgery I was not allowed in because I was not vaccinated. How the F is a receptionist allowed to know my medical conditions and status? No patient confidentially, it is outright malpractice! Considering a law suit including discrimination and malpractice. Christies Beach Medical Centre, 100 Beach Road, South Australia. (08) 8384 4444.

Receptionist incredibly rude and when you can actually get an appointment be prepared to wait.

Went in with a child who had respiratory difficulties and sat nearly an hour, only to have a telephone consult.

This medical centre requires a complete overhaul.

I've been coming here for years, yet now I can't even make an appointment about tonsillitis/a cough because I wasn't double vaccinated. What a joke.

What Doctors can refuse to help based on your personal health issues. The ones at Christies do! Discrimination at its finest in this clinic. Receptionists are so rude and make you feel unworthy of thier time. Absolutely one of the worst Doctor surgeries in Adelaide. Do not go here, let them be force to close due to no patients. They do not deserve your time or money.

I’d give this practice less than one star if it were possible.

One of the nurses is incredibly rude and has zero peoples skills whatsoever. Would not recommend this dr clinic to anyone.

Dr
Charters. Warning - on a bad day this doctor can become a spiteful
bully. On a consultation with him I felt so physically threatened by
his actions I felt compelled to get out of my seat to protect myself.
He stopped all my medications - one med after 7 days, the others after
30 days, which after a time without the medications I became really
ill. Since then my specialists have put me back on the medications, Dr
Charters also said that my usual doctor (his work colleague) was
endangering my health but Dr Charters was proven wrong later by another specialist.

Disgraceful service. Firstly, receptionists are among the rudest I have ever encountered. Secondly, got charged a full consultation fee, for a 2-minute appointment to print my medical history for me to get COVID vaccine. Discussed this with my sister (who is a GP), and she was absolutely appalled, told me I categorically need to find another GP clinic. So, save yourself the hassle and money, and simply find another clinic.

This clinic received a PTSD diagnosis for a *child*, but they didn't bother telling them about it. You can't trust these doctors. If you've been a patient for years they may have made the same mistake with you or your kids. They simply do not care about their patients at all. It wouldn't surprise me if they received critical diagnoses about patients, didn't bother telling them, and the patients died as a result of their negligence.

Absolutely scummy. Trying to capitalise off of the COVID vaccination program.

They require you to see one of their GPs at full cost even if you have already seen a GP about getting your vaccine.

Purely money grubbing

I walked in here looking for a new doctor as id just moved locally. The receptionist told me that id be better off looking elsewhere. I obviously dont adhere their standards as a human being. Disgusted by the attitude.
