Chicken Boss

Food was good had lamb and chicken combo was nice staff were friendly and polite, chips were good, salads nice I found lamb OK and chicken above average.

On our most recent visit to Mt Gambier we ordered a chicken and vegetables. Potatoes and pumpkin were deep fried rather than roasted, so tasted pretty rough. Staff member pretty unfriendly. Chicken wasn’t worth the wait. The gravy was bordering on congealed. This place used to have great food, but if that’s the standard, no thanks.

Incredibly small serves of salad in a small serve could fit at least another spoon full in all 4 I brought, uninterested staff stood there with a blank look on her face, rude. Not sure if it has changed owners but very disappointing compared to what it used to be.

Absolute rip off. $19 for a schnitzel pack (paid an extra $1 for veggies) … schnitzel about the size of can of soft drink … could not believe it … could have got. Massive schnitzel for the price in a pub!

First customers in the store. Ordered battered fish and a serve of chips, only to wait 35 minutes? Not good enough! Not to mention the fish is undercooked and had to thrown away! Thoroughly disappointed and disgusted in there lack of care.if I could rate it any less I would.

OK food but a bit overpriced vs your standard fish and chip shop. Yiros was fatty and not great.

Good prices, decent serves and tasty food. Burgers were well cooked but seemed cold to eat (cheese wasn’t melted). Staff were nice

Cooked fresh to order chips and the schnitzel pack was great. Despite walking in at 7.30pm, the salads were still fresh. Loved the Greek salad and German potato salad. Staff was friendly too and lots of parking at the front.

Had chicken, veggies and chips. The chicken was pull apart, veggies well cooked and the chips were beautiful with the chicken salt

Definitely worth Checking out. Staff are friendly. The Store is spacious and clean. Extensive Menu and short waiting time. Parkings Good too.

Had the half chicken and veg takeaway pack.
Asked if we could swap out the corn and carrots for extra pumpkin and potatoes. This was happily done. The chicken was lovely as normal, and the vegies were perfect - potatoes well cooked (not hard rocks!). Pumpkin - yum! Very happy to see flexibility in providing just what we wanted - thank you.

Chicken is very dry, underseasoned. Chips like big bits of cardboard. Not worth the money, way over priced.

The last 2 Roast Chickens brought from Chicken Boss were terrible, the meat was real tough & dry, not tender at all & the Chips aren’t great either, soggy & has a frozen taste to it.

We ordered a chicken & chips with salad and gravy and a combo AB. The chicken and the gravy was good. The chips was still cold in the middle and the combo AB barely had any meat in it and what meat was there tasted like reheated roast chicken with a few bits of lamb thrown in. We asked for chili sauce on the AB, got sweet chilli sauce instead. Won't be stopping by here again.

Sorry but the chicken was so dry, there was to much lettuce and there was not enough sauce in the Yiros. The chips were burned and did not taste nice they actually taste lemon.
Sorry for the bad review but for what I payed for it, it wasn't a great meal.

Fish and chips was good, friendly staff. We were the only people there and the food came fast. Would recommend for a quick bite and nice fish

Very dissapointing.gave this place a second chance. Had a Burger with the lot and it was soggy and bun was drenched in oil. Paid 12.90 for it.food is totally over priced!

Burnt schnitzels, inch of water in the vegies and hair wrapped around a chip will not be back and this was our first time at chicken boss

Kebab was yuk with chips in it I don't eat chips that's why I had a kebab it went in the bin also same gloves from salad to meat to everywhere cost is over the top never again
