I love having Cheeky Grin as our local. The coffee is fantastic, food delicious and the people who run the place are lovely.

No Grins but Painful and way too CHEEKY.

We read the 71 'reviews' with 5 stars. So, hey, let's try it out.

Ouch! I mean, OUCH! Everything was cheap and nasty.

1. Tables were rickety fold-aways that looked and felt only just semi-stable.
2. The cutlery looked like it was from the local tip, grubby and thin. In fact, so thin that on cutting my Focaccia the fork folded like Uri Geller was showing a fork-bending trick.
3. Coffee was a pass, just a pass.
4. The food was not freshly made on-site but obviously shipped in.
5. The web site showcased beautiful pastries but NONE were on site at 12 noon. Poor, very poor.
6. Staff were friendly and pleasant.
7. The REAL DEAL-BREAKER was the so-called background *music*. Oh dear. Oh, oh, oh dear! PAINFUL ear-bashing Hip-Hop and we were seated outside!

So, forget a pleasant, relaxing coffee and pastry with your pram and pals. No, no. This was mediocre caffeine with lashings of stress! And who gave all those stars, your mates?

We left FAST but will we be back? And if that is us what of others? This is why small business die; poor standards driving custom away.

Here is our advice to the owners. Yes, listen to honest feedback:
1. Cafés are NOT nightclubs! Who wants an EAR-BASHING with gutter American, semi-violent Hip-Hop cacophonies? ! Only the brainless, braindead or deaf?
2. Pop over to BIG W and pay a few dollars for presentable tableware and cutlery. It is not expensive and it makes a difference. And make sure it is spotlessly clean; ALWAYS. Remember this word from school, BACTERIA?
3. Never advertise produce you do not have. It makes you look fake.
4. Like you, customers want a clean, relaxing café experience not a cheap, grubby, stressful, in-your-face ear-bashing.

Go on, Cheeky Grin, you can do it if you try a little harder.

Such good coffee at Cheeky Grin. A fantastic little coffee spot that’s grown over time but never lost its personal touch. Super friendly staff, great community vibe, lots of cute dogs (it’s a dog friendly cafe) and the BEST ham and cheese croissants in Adelaide hands down. So flakey and perfect ham ratio!

When I sipped the coffee, I was happy. Reminds me of a good Melbourne Cafe where the coffee is made with care. This is my Adelaide spot for sure.

Really good coffee. Using local roasters and suppliers. Somehow the staff manage to know everyones name - always very very friendly. Great place for morning, lunch or early afternoon reloads. I think there is also a running club on the weekends, but I focus on the pastries cabinet.

The Mr Shrooms toastie is a ripper. Coffee is also top knotch. The amount of traffic that comes through here is a reflection of the love these people put into the coffee & tucker. Keep up the great work. We will be back.

This used to be a good Cafe when it had just opened. Nowadays the coffee isn't anything special any more, clearly made in a rush and tastes burnt. On top of that, our experience last time was horrible with the Cafe owner shouting across the room to ask us to stop our 2-year-old from making noises. Not kid friendly at all I would say.

Just an edit after the response: I wanted to mention the great pastries and support for local artists and make this 3 stars. Though I will keep it a 1 as I am very disappointed with the response. I just don't understand how a toddler could possibly "damage property" by moving his little leg in a seated position. Even then, we wouldn't have minded if we were asked to stop it privately.

Have not really got into Willow Blend coffee, or maybe havent found a place that can do it justice. Not sure what the hype is about, but that ristretto was immaculately pulled. Fkn 5 stars.

Only little gripe was that the lid of ur coffees arent biodegradeable. Other than that, this place is a welcome upgrade to what was here before. Pretty basic food setup, wonder if they'll make changes to the kitchen to incorporate something, cos thats probably the next thing to do.

Currently doing cafe hopping over the weekend, found this cafe with great feedback.

Went on rainy day Sunday afternoon and ordered famous a almond crossiant with raspberry stuff. Wasn't that bad Crossiant, but my expectation was too high which end up just average one.
Coffee was just okay to myself - I prefer milky taste, got much coffee taste there and seems taste bit bitter than normal coffee.

Service was bit disappointing, however atmosphere was great! Love that coziness.

We had a sad experience at this café. We ordered an iced coffee, but they forgot to add vanilla syrup, even though we paid for it. Aside from that, we are hesitant to approach the staff because we are not treated fairly, which is a shame. Well, maybe because we're Asians. Nevertheless, the coffee was tasty.

Food was decent but I got a hot chocolate that was bizarrely terrible. Instead of tasting anything like chocolate it tasted like warm plastic. I don’t know how you make one that bad

Terrible hot chocolate, didn’t even bother to mix in the powder, it was also cold. Coffee wasn’t too bad though.

Cheeky Grin Coffee is my morning go-to for coffee. I'd be doomed without this place each day. They make great coffee. Keep up the great work guys.

Coffee was OK, cups rather small. However, was not impressed by the baskets of fresh food displayed uncovered on the counter, right at the spot where customers were ordering. I gave my order speaking directly over these foodstuffs. Incredibly unhygienic.

Dropped into this place for a quick coffee and quick bites. The space is very attractive and the staff is very friendly. Definitely will visit again to try some other food.

Coffee wasn’t great, iced chocolate was way to much chocolate and wasn’t really mixed in, donuts weren’t flattering and $7 each is just a rip off.

This place does amazing coffee - but the service is exceptional!

I went there with my young daughter who decided to spill a hot chocolate everywhere! The young lady serving couldn't have been more accommodating - she promptly cleaned up the mess and said it was no big deal.

So, I went to get another hot chocolate for my daughter and the owner, Stefan, happily made another one and didn't charge for it - I wanted to pay cause I felt guilty for making the mess.

Sensational customer service I would highly recommend!

Great staff and good tasting coffee. Pastries on weekends nice and freshly. I am a little biased though, as my son owns it. But if I can't comment then I shouldn't go there
