Cheap as Chips reviews
32I was in a rush with a pram but I fit down every aisle with ease staff were friendly especially with Christmas period and mad rush they were helpful, big store huge variety and good lay out
I wish I could put -10 stars. Don’t buy from here.
I’ve bought an item for 7$ (got 7 of those) and on the same day I saw the same item for only 3.99 at IGA. So I came back to leave a comment and return them (as the difference was 21$). But not only they didn’t return they were absolutely rude. I would never step in this store and I don’t recommend to anybody. Cheap employees and management. Now I know the name of the shop comes from… stay away from them they always short in stuff.
Love this store friendly and helpful always willing to offer assistance. Products are marked accordingly.
I got served by this lovely young man. He was very respectful and helpful in finding me a suitable card for my grandmas 80th. I believe his name was Fabian! Definitely deserves a raise or a bonus!
Staff would not honour the ticketed sale price in store. I work in retail and if an item is ticketed for the price, it should be honoured, yet the Manager (male in his late 20s - 30s) and an elderly female staff member with long grey hair kept insisting that the sale was over. Manager first stated that the sale was a 2 day weekend sale that had ended so I informed him that the sale ticket is still on display. The lady at the register asked the older lady staff member to go check the ticket and after 5 minutes, she called the cash register phone and said that it was only for the display. I went to see the old lady at where the ticket was displayed and she repeated that it's display which would've been sold yesterday.
I said no it wouldn't have just been display price because the catalogue price was the same. She kept saying it's display but no where on the ticket does it say it's only for display. She then proceeded to take the ticket out of my hand and pulled it up slightly from the frame it was in to show a dodgy handwritten 'DISPLAY. ' Suspicious much? I wouldn't be surprised if this lady had quickly written that on the ticket.
If the sale price was really for a display model then it would be CLEARLY written on the ticket for customers to see, not hidden in the ticket frame like that! Dodgy dodgy dodgy.
Instead of owning up to your fault of forgetting to remove the ticket price from display and honour the ticketed price for you customer, you've made me out to feel like a complete fool. You don't own the store, just honour the damn price. That's retail.
Terrible customer service experience. Working in retail for over a decade, I know what's good customer service and this is NOT IT.
Cheap As Chips offers a wide selection of affordable items, but some items may not be the best value for money. The store is well-maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. While you may be able to find some bargains, don't expect to find many. You may be able to find cheaper prices for some items online. Overall, Cheap As Chips is a decent option for budget-conscious shoppers.
Cat trees, stationary and weird miscellaneous garden statues.it is not heaven but it's real close.
The best cheap as chips store in Adelaide suburbs. The Kilburn store is well laid out, is kept very clean and tidy by staff. This store has a greater range and volume of products than other cheap as chips nearby. Very impressive.
Prices are reasonable, , great value in most areas quite a large range of products to choose from, very safe return value for refunds, oh and a nice little $10 dollar savings on next purchase when you buy over $75, now that's a good buy for certain, well done on that guys, nice one.
Absolutely hate the fact there is no exit other than the checkouts, meaning you have to push your way through the line up to get out if you do not intend to purchase anything. During peak times, the line up is massive and I do not want to spend 5 + mins lining up for nothing/ pushing through crowds awkwardly and annoyingly. Would be very nice if you came up with a solution to this as I was not the only customer that day that experienced this.
Received lovely service from the staff here! Great variety of items, most for cheap/affordable prices, however some are unusually expensive.
My go to shop for any stationary or art and crafts supplies. Good bargains. And its not just that. Lots of stuff for the house, and many on good offers. Cleaning products, kitchen gadgets, small appliances, gardening requirements etc, you will find it all.
The shop it's self is big. Huge range of things to buy. I suggest look on line to see if they have what you need.
Love a bargain especially for gifts this is the place, alot of art/puzzles & stuff for adults & kids for when the school holidays begin we all have to start somewhere why not here - staff is always willing to assist.
It's a cheap as chips. If you're here more than 5 minutes something went very wrong in your life
Very helpful over the phone. Great service and prompt. Hope Cc stays around for a very long time.
I purchased 2 different soft drinks from this store and they tasted flat and terrible. I then checked the dates and they were both out of date. When I went to return them the next day, the store manager was extremely rude to me. He tried to tell me that they weren’t out of date, but it clearly said on the bottle they were. Very disappointed in such a big company selling out of date stock and then lying to their customers.
Good range of products
Good layout and management
Friendly staff. Except one barking mid age lady who doesn’t take her medications regularly!
Great all in all
Came here to get screwdrivers bits, very cheap compared to Bunnings! As always the staff is very kind to customers. These people deserve 5 stars!
Friendly staff almost every things for your house there, (furniture, garden stuffs, stationary, Tools, etc)
