Charminar reviews
72Paneer tikka masala and nan, both were tasty, quantity and quality was very good, enough for 2 people, love to visit again.
Had dinner here tonight, the "share menu" was generous and exceptional (we took most of the food home). Delicious dining, great atmosphere, highly recommend
Place is well due for a renovation now. Last time we ordered delivery, and they messed up our order and gave us tofu instead of chicken. The sauce was not nearly as tasty and extremely heavy. I usually feel very satisfied after eating from Charminar, however I felt rather sickly which is a shame. The last meal I had in the restaurant itself was quite similar too. The decline in quality has been apparent over the last year or so.
Ambiance is good but not great. Food quality is poor but quantity is good.
I had chicken biriyani and Tawa chicken tikka masala. Full of colour, no taste and the chicken is over cooked. Pics are attached.
Should change the chef who can really cook authentic Indian food. Should change their seats, it’s too old. Probably bit more cleaner.
If you want to have a drink, it’s good place considering the ambiance. But if you looking at having food I personally wouldn’t recommend this place unless they change their chef.
Ordered lamb vindaloo and cheese and garlic naans.
Still sweating from that one, but the sauce is extremely tasty and the lamb was generous and succulent.
This restaurant knows what they're doing. Highly recommended.
Excellent food. Has always been so consistent with quality n quantity amazing loved it. Plz keep up the good food n hard work.
Delicious food and courteous service. Highly recommend to the people who are looking for Indian cuisines in Adelaide.
Terrible service. One of the worst I've experienced. Food was decent though. If food didn't taste decent would have been easy 1 star. But the biggest no no they did was give us the wrong meals. We cut into it then the waitress/manager grabbed it and then put it on the right customers table. Couldn't believe it. Especially in these virus/pandemic times. Shows their food hygiene levels. Slow service too! Won't be back again.
Came here with a group of 9 for a birthday. Lovely food, entrees were delicious. Cocktails are nice but a little too much garnish (mint). Friendly service and very generous serving sizes!
Ordered butter chicken, requested it to be extra mild and no nuts. Turns out they only do butter chicken with cashews which is fine. They could have told us they cannot send us butter chicken but instead they sent us a curry in unlabelled bag and container, which turned out to be a completely different curry that was extremely spicy which our kids couldn't eat. Rang to ask what happened and they said they just sent a different curry but didn't tell us what it is. Complete waste of our time and took our money for something we couldn't eat.
The first time I ordered the food it was fabulous. Unfortunately today it was horrendous. Is there a new Chef working? Maybe that is the difference?
I had been boasting and promoting your restaurant but now I have to change the narrative.
It is making me sick
Amazing food!
Really generous serves.
Impeccable service.
Comprehensive wine list.
We'll definitely be back!
Always good.
Got some take away and got two meals out of it.
Great tasting Indian food.
Ordered on ubereats - amazing meal and quick delivery. Butter chicken and beef korma- great sauces and quality meats.
I order food its was not good
Quantity is very less
Quality is very bad
Not recommended at all
There’s a foul odour in the food and my stomach was upset after having a meal here, Wouldn’t recommend!
Amazing food and attentive service. Options for multi-dishes as well as a bountiful mains menu. Happily going to revisit
If u want authentic Indian u need to go to Charminar klemzig absolutely amazing food. The taste, the smell So so nice. I promise u will not be disappointed. So yummy. Not forgetting the stuff who are very friendly
Best North indian food ever I have tasted in the Australia. The blend of spices in the main course made my dinner memorable as well as made my visit memorable. Rates are very reasonable. Best service. I will visit again and again.
We happened to uber yesterday night from Charminar; one garlic naan, one naan, saag chicken and chicken korma. My experience; garlic naan had no garlic and it was literally uncooked; naan had hair, there was no difference in taste between chickens and all the masala was literally raw, i could smell onions. Nevertheless i am one person who is not fussy about food but having that food made me sick and first time in my life i called a restaurant and shared my grief mind you i was not looking for compensation or food replacement i just wanted to tell them please don't torture any one else. Disgusting food is my review.
