44 Lovely meal served by friendly staff.
Not the cheapest for a lunch time but everything was perfectly cooked.
Perfect Parmy, steak and fish n chips!
I added jalapeño and a side serve of gravy to my Parmy.
We sat in the beer garden which was clean and tidy. The regular size was the perfect portion and everything was cooked beautifully.
We S hared a bottle of Lobethal rd Shiraz which was a great compliment to the food.
A relaxing country atmosphere and great food!
We’ll be back!
After a nice drive in the Adelaide Hills stumbled across this Pub. So glad we did, magnificent service and home style meals. Look forward to our next visit.
Was there yesterday with our MG Car Club. We all had a great time. Thanx muchly Chefs, and delightful fun girls at tables! Great food, very yummy. Happy satisfied all 43 of us MGers! ' Lovely drive thru Autumn countryside too. So good
My husband and I went on Easter Sunday, impromptually
We happily were taken to the beer garden as the main dining was booked out, and sat under a beautiful weeping elm
The menu was fantastic as was the service, food and wine list
Thoroughly enjoyable and recommended
Glad we decided to stop for dinner. Very friendly hotel made us feel welcome. Just ordered pizza and ate in the beer garden. Great atmosphere. Would come back again and try something else
Classic Australian country pub. Fantastic food, well worth the drive out of town. Lamb shanks were to die for!
Great little old pub. Surprisingly good range of tasty pub meals, all nicely presented. Friendly staff. Shady rustic beer garden.
Schnitzel always delicious. Especially with the Dianne gravy! Friendly service, quick turn around time for meals. Highly recommended
$33 for a mega chicken parmy, witch was the size of a normal size parmy.rather go to macclesfield pub.
Great friendly service but
Stoped in for beers and a snack they had a nice open fire place with fire going food was good staff were exelent
Great venue for a good lunch during a short hills drive. Owners and staff are always very welcoming and obliging. Highly recommended.
Nice setting for a feed. Staff friendly and prices for food and drinks were good.
Only thing was my Lamb shanks had a cold patch in one spot. Must have been reheated.
I had to eat the salad!
I've been to this pub so many times and the last time was 2 years ago due to border restrictions and it appears something has changed, the meal quality is good however quantity is lacking. I ordered the salt and pepper squid which contained ~6 pieces of squid and a small handful of chips for an adult serving and totally $22. I was a little disappointed as i was hungry I even had to eat the side salad and had to go home and eat after eating dinner out which is the point of eating out, so I still had to cook and do dishes
My son had a burger and it was a great portion size perhaps better than mine my partner had a parmi and that looked delicious and filling maybe it was just a bad night for the squid on Saturday who knows.
Had the ‘Huge’ Beef Schnitty with mushroom gravy. Great size, good value for money. Tasty too!
Washed it down with a local red as well.
Had a chat with the publican and was good to hear business is going ok for them in these crazy Covid times.
Great to support small local businesses.
Would highly recommend a schnitzel from the ‘Charlie’
My partner and I have always gone to the Charleston pub everytime we need a good schnitzel, with their wide variety of toppings there's always something we fancy. However I always pick the Charleston topping. We also go her on special occasions and birthdays because we know the food will never disappoint!
Good variety of options, especially for vegetarians. Tasty food and friendly service. Recommended.
Great little country pub. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had dinner recently all meals were well prepared and presented. Menu has all the usual options but with a slight twist to make them a little more interesting. Also some very good vegetarian options. Well worth a visit.
Great spot to stumble upon for lunch!
A lot of history in this pub.
The parmi was SOLID. The topping looked nice, but was a bit bland in flavour. Generous amount of chips.
The battered fish was a great size! However didn't hold much flavour.
Warmly greeted by the Landlord and pleasantly surprised they had a selection of craft beers. We chose to eat here again on the last night of our getaway and had another really tasty meal. It was vey busy but we were remembered and welcomed once again. Great food, friendly staff, feels good to help support these smaller towns.
