Chapel Hill Winery Tasting Room and Gallery reviews
61 The legends at Chapel Hill not only delivered an amazing wine tasting experience but helped me get wine home as I live interstate.
Top service.
Awesome people.
And some clever little wines. Definitely worth the visit.
We had the absolute best time at our wedding. We initially started our planning with Marianne but she stood down and Hope took over, she was an absolute delight. Nothing was too much much trouble for her, and she completely understood the vibe of wedding we were going for. Hope went above and beyond for us and it made me feel so much more secure on the day as I knew Hope and her team had literally everything under control.
I have heard from multiple of my guests that it was the best wedding they have ever attended and this wouldn’t have been possible without the vigilant work of the chapel hill staff, and of course the sublime catering from the salopian inn!
If I could re-live my wedding day over and over I would, and I would never get sick of it.
Thank you for having such a wonderful Venue and amazing support staff to back the beautiful view up!
Expect a detailed education on their wines. Loved their PORT the most! Lovely staff. Wines are different and varied. The Chapel itself is pretty with a very old window (270 years old), that originated from Scotland. Would be a lovely venue for an event or special occasion. There are so many excellent wineries in the area. This is a nice one to visit.
Thanks to Peter for a an enjoyable tasting experience. Beautiful wine in a gorgeous space, relaxed vibe. Will be back!
Cellar door is exceptional, beautiful setup, tastings, and with focus back on the wine, not attractions that other wineries have.
Excellent service and wine knowledge superb. To the staff that me today thanks a million would definitely go back
Went to do the broad church tasting with husband and other family. I’m currently pregnant but the tasting was booked and paid for. The staff walked past me after serving the whole table except me, never said a word to ask me if I wanted the wine or if I wanted a soft drink. When they came round for the next tasting I asked them to pour the wine for me (3 times I asked) and they looked at me, said I wasn’t drinking and walked away without serving me - is it their choice whether I am tasting the wine or not?
Wine tasting can be done by sip and spit. I’m absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated and the judgement from the staff just from looking at me and not even talking to me.
I left having paid for a service I was not given and feeling completely excluded from the activity and not of my choice. A very poor experience because of the staff.
As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour of South Australia I spent a day exploring the lovely Mclaren Vale area. This was my second stop for the day. I loved the Granache and Zinfadel
Always delivers. Really enjoyed their range of reds and fortified. Excellent service during tastings.
We had a wonderful tasting at Chapel Hill, a pretty location with an interesting history in wine making. Not to mention their beautiful wines, provided by a knowledgeable team! Thanks for making our party welcome and we will be returning again to try more just as soon as we can!
Many thanks Chapel Hill
This wine tasting was absolutely awesome! Leigh (sorry if spelling is wrong) was amazing, fun, knowledgeable and was key to the tasting being extra VIP. Thanks so much for contributing a valuable memory to our honeymoon, Kate & Tom.
Absolutely wonderful Winery. Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Great wines, brilliant attentive service and stunning location.
Really good wines at good prices.
Tasting staff are friendly, professional, competant and attentive.
I had a great time at Chapel Hill winery. The wine is awesome and the team were so welcoming. Can't wait to go back.
I have a soft spot for this winery, so to come back after 8 years I was excited to see some new upgrades and see this beautiful chapel. The lady that served us was only on the job for a month but was a consummate professional. They offer a wine tasting of 7 for $10, but this is waived if you purchase a bottle of wine. There’s also. Premium wine tasting for $20.
The top picks in my opinion are the Zinfandel, MV Shiraz and Chardonnay. However I was happy to find that they still had some of “The Vicar” their premium offering!
The place is magnificent, except customers service, one lady who served for our wine tasting is rude and sarcastic. I like the quality of product, but train your staff to be diversified, oriented for third world countries customers.
One of the highlights of our 4 week holiday in SA was a wine tasting afternoon at Chapel Hill winery. Staff were very pleasant and customer service at the time and also later when we purchased more of the Prophet Shiraz was outstanding. Many thanks.
Excellent tasting experience. We had the Icon tasting at $20 pp. Good value for the quality of wines. We also liked the format… all wines poured at once for comparison, small cheese platter and knowledgeable staff. Hard to choose our favorite wine.
Great tasting experience. Justine and the team were so welcoming. Magic tasting format and very informative around their region the history and wines too. Wines were excellent but the House Block Shiraz and Devil Tawny were our favourites.
This winery set in the McLaren Vale region has a beautiful look to it and the aroma of current wine being made filled the air as we arrived.
Wine - the wine was good and we have experienced this wine before attending here so it was good to see the location of it's origin. The 10yr Tawny is a definite must. Had to purchase a bottle before leaving. It appeared to be quite popular amongst the group as well.
Service - I can't quite give this a top rating as the person delivering the background of the wines did not appear too passionate about it. It felt quite superficial and rushed. Sadly this contributed to a single purchase here only.
Location - very clean and welcoming and the architecture was reminiscent of the name - Chapel Hill.
