Ceylon Supermarket reviews
18 Was just a stab in the dark to go here & find some food for dinner one night in April 2023.
Oh my did I!
The Seafood or Chicken Fried Rice is so fluffy & tasty here, you have to try it!
Chicken Biryani & the Fish Bun are great also.
Not your usual Chinese rice style dish.
If you are in Adelaide, there’s no other place to get Sri Lankan groceries, finger food and quick bites than CS!
Try their Fish Rolls! So good!
Visited here few times. Always been a good experience.
But this time there was a woman at the cashier who seems to work like she doesn’t want to be there. And she even got order wrong and put wrong price. Better get positive attitude person to do the job than making customers suffer
Ceylon Supermarket is a medium sized shop providing varieties of Sri Lankan products. It also provides different cooked fresh foods. Do visit for authentic Ceylon products.
This is super market aunthentic to goods and services to Sri Lankan spices and seafood etc it has many varieties to select from Good service and competitive prices, they sell snacks and food for orders etc
We go there quite often. They have Sri Lankan rice and curry, string hoppers and even short eats like egg rolls, fish bun. Everything tastes so good.
Apart from that they have all sort of SL spices, dry fish, and almost all Sri Lankan goodies.
Friendly staff and ample parking. Highly recommend this place for everyone who wants have some Sri Lankan flavor in Adelaide.
I bought some frozen banana leaf which was a waste of money because the leaf was dead even before they froze it! It was yellow and brown in most parts & had a terrible foul smell, so couldn't use it.
We also bought some snack off the hot food cabinet. Food had good flavouring but you guys need to frequently change the oil or at least filter it everyday. Because it tastes stale on the outer parts of the fried goods. The smell of the oil is so bad that when you enter the shop, you immediately want to pop on a mask!
Service is very slow too and there isn't any explanation as to why you're waiting. It's like they are learning the system right that moment!
Indian and Sri Lankan groceries available. Onsite parking available. Could do with a bit more organisation.
I’m happy with all the services and items in the supermarket, but very unsatisfied with their food service, taste is good like homemade but the quantity of any meat is very low. Sometimes they end up serving one piece of meat, that’s unacceptable at all because no one open up the food pack and look what’s in there. Also they should need to maintain the consistency of food quantity.
Stocked well for most Sri Lankan goodies. Good for take away lunch and dinner options too. Ample parking available at the back area too.
A Sri Lankan supermarket with cooked food available for takeaway. The shop has Sri Lankan and Indian spices, biscuits, grains, etc. As takeaway food, you can have kottu, rice, string hoppers, rolls, patties and more. For shorteats I find the price a little expensive. String hoppers you can have 100 for $30 which is an OK price.
The lady at the counter acts as if the customers forcefully come to buy items. No pleasant smile and doesn’t even respond to questions.
This shop does cargo shipping box handling for Trico.
The place is well stocked. Worth a visit. When ordering food, you need to be cautious. Unless otherwise you repeatedly check, the spice levels can sky rocket.
Reasonable amount of Sri Lankan and Indian food available. Plenty of parking available with easy access. The person at the counter seems like ignoring customers, and also seem to be suspecting everyone as shoplifters. Looks as if his main focus is wholesale and not retail. Not a very pleasant experience.
Good parking space and a wide variety of Sri lankan products. Take away food also available.very prompt in preparation the order and the food is delicious, will be going there again.
I like this store very much because most of the Sri Lankan short-eat style frozen food available.
Good product range. Friendly service. There were few product availability issues. They are fixing them
Only small scale supermarket to display prices clearly and issue a receipt that you can understand. Have a good range of products too.
